Rotten Tomatos Secrets
Why I love Rotten Tomatos so much
Welcome, this is a fan site of famous Rotten Tomatos, movie reviews site. I really love Rotton Tomatos and I've been their reader for ages. They write great reviews on films and games and their system of rating is incredible.
Rotton Tomatos determine for each review whether it is positive ("fresh", marked by a small icon of a red tomato) or negative ("rotten", marked by a small icon of a green splatted tomato). The website keeps track of all of the reviews (sometimes there are hunderds for one movie) and percentage of positive ones. If the positive reviews make up 60% or more, the film is considered "fresh", otherwise it's "rotten". They call it Tomatometer.
As a member of Rotten Tomatos you can comment on individual critic's opinions, as well as rate the films yourself. There is also the list of "100 Worst Reviewed Films of All time" and it's a lot of fun.
Rotten Tomatos are amazingly popular with 60-120 million page views per day. However, the best thing on the Rotten Tomatos is the community. Forums are very dynamical with thousands taking part in discussions of such topics as movies, video games, music and many others.
The name Rotten Tomatos comes from the historical cliché of throwing tomatoes and other things at stage performers if a performance was particularly bad.
