Most of us would probably not consider the iron rest as a feature when deciding on what ironing board to buy. I know I never did, I just thought it was something added on to the ironing board to increase the price.

After using an iron rest for nearly 3 years now, I can't imagine not having it. The #1 reason is safety. Yes, Safety. Let's just think about this a minute.
