two destinations - but no announcement as yet
"The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have chosen not to depart for a honeymoon immediately. Instead, after spending the weekend privately in the United Kingdom, The Duke will return to work as a Search and Rescue pilot next week.
The locations of both their private weekend before The Duke returns to work and their future honeymoon, which will be overseas, will not be disclosed in advance. The Couple have asked that their privacy be respected during the coming weekend and during their honeymoon."

They kept very quiet about where they went for the first weekend of being a married couple. There has been no leak about where that was.
As of 24th May 2011, they are now home again from their proper honeymoon and looking tanned - but will we ever know where exactly they went?

A Royal Honeymoon on North Island in the Seychelles
The latest speculation - with all the newspapers saying the same thing - is that the Royal Honeymoon will be in the Seychelles. To be specific on North Island
The couple were seen leaving Anglesey on Monday 9th May accompanied by a security vehicle carrying luggage. Prince William has take two weeks leave from his job as an RAF search and rescue helicopter pilot. A Seychelles official confirmed that they arrived in the Seychelles on Tuesday.
The newlyweds have previously holidayed in the Seychelles having stayed on the island of Desroches, in August 2007 - a holiday which was apparently a great success. It's doubtless influenced the decision about where to go for a honeymoon.

and the ultimate honeymoon destination - Villa North Lodge
The resort offers privacy and a luxury lodge with 11 villas. It's dedicated to ecotourism. The concept is one of a Noah's Ark sanctuary where natural habitats are being reestablished through the elimination of alien flora and fauna and reintroduction of native species - including the sea turtles.

The helicopter has taken off - but there's no announcement as yet about the Royal Honeymoon but that doesn't stop people speculating!
The general consensus seems to be that it won't be an expensive jaunt and is very likely to be in the UK.

This is the former home of the Queen Mother. It's about 6 miles (9.7 km) west of John o' Groats at the far northern tip of the Scottish mainland. The Queen Mother made the Castle over to the Queen Elizabeth Castle of Mey Trust . As a result, the castle and garden open to the public on a regular basis except when The Duke and Duchess of Rothesay (the Princle of Wales) are in residence.

Charles and Diana's Honeymoon
Charles and Diana took a train from Waterloo to Hampshire where they spent time at Broadlands, the home of Lord Romsey and former home of his grandfather, Earl Mountbatten.
Then then board Britannia at Southampton and cruised to Gibralter and around the Mediterranean. This was the honeymoon suite.
The honeymoon took three months all told with the latter part involving a stay at Balmoral. Their stay in Scotland also involved a brief stay at Suisgill

Charles and Camilla's Honeymoon
This honeymoon involved a flight to Scotland and a stay at Birkhall. This used to be the home of the Queen Mother on the Balmoral Estate. It was left to Prince Charles and is his private residence in Scotland
