Has the Economy Changed the Royal Wedding?
Because the Royal Family doesn't want to put too much pressure on the public, some events of the wedding have been scaled back. For example, much was made about Kate Middleton's decision to arrive at Westminster Abbey in a car rather than a carriage. To Prince William and Kate, this seems like a more cost-effective option.Nonetheless, there are some who are unhappy about the decision, including Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Yet, it seems as if Queen Elizabeth II should be more understanding. She, too, was married during a difficult time. Read about Queen Elizabeth's wedding to Philip Mountbatten.
Greeting a Member of the Royal Family
For those with questions, here is a quick guide about how to greet and interact with members of the British Monarchy.
Kate Middleton's Fashion Style
Kate Middleton has long been a fashion icon, but with her marriage to Prince William, the scrutiny about what Kate wears will likely increase. Will the additional scrutiny change her style, or will she continue to dress in classic and elegant clothing - with BIG hats - just as she always has?

Kate Middleton's Childhood Home to be Auctioned
West View, the home in which Kate Middleton lived until she was 13, is set to be auctioned on June 3, shortly after the Royal Wedding.
The home, located about two miles from Mike and Carole Middleton's current home, is priced at £495,000 or about $800,000. The four-bedroom home sits on 0.255 acres and is where Carole Middleton began the party planning company that made the Middleton's millionaires.

Camilla Luddington to Play Kate Middleton in Movie
In February, much speculation came to an end when the woman who would play Kate Middleton in an original Lifetime movie was finally revealed. The winner? British-born Camilla Luddington.Though relatively unknown, Luddington is from the same town as Kate, and the two women resemble each other a bit. They are very close in age, as well.
The Lifetime movie, called William and Kate, is scheduled to air for the first time on April 18, just 11 days before the royal wedding.

Nico Evers-Swindell to Play Prince William in Lifetime Movie
Evers-Swindell, who now lives in New York City, is relatively unknown, having played bit roles in shows such as Guiding Light and NCIS: Los Angeles, according to imdb.com.
Evers-Swindell moved to the U.S. from New Zealand in 2003. He's also had roles in several plays since moving to New York City.
He will star opposite Camilla Luddington, cast as Kate Middleton, in the movie, scheduled to air April 18.

Ben Cross to Play Prince Charles in Movie

Royal Couple Walking Tour in London
Celebrity Planet, a travel and tour service in London, has designed a two-hour tour for fans of the Royal couple. The tour takes visitors from Jigsaw, Kate Middleton's previous employer, to the pub where the couple is known to hang out, to the building where Kate's grandfather worked. Throw in Clarence House, Buckingham Palace and Westminster Abbey, among other stops, and you have a tour!

Royal engagement photos
Because the photos lack some of the pomp-and-circumstance of older royal photos, many news outlets have speculated that Prince William and Kate are attempting to position themselves as younger and more hip than their predecessors.
Two photos were released by Clarence House in December. One showed William and Kate in a more formal setting, with William in a suit and Kate wearing a dress. In the second photo, seen on this lens, the couple look more relaxed in a happy embrace.

- Lovely lens. I'm an Anglophile and a royal watcher, although I'm an American. I set my alarm and got up in the wee hours to see Charles and Diana's wedding, and I'll definitely do the same when William and Kate wed. They seem to have so much more chance of a happy marriage than William's parents did.

- I'm glad you've found an outlet for your overflow at Squidoo. The Royal wedding does seem to catch the interest of most everyone and it seems to be in a nice way. The couple's choices seem to be reflective of their own personalities within the bounds of monarchy. A delightful article. I did see your link on how to meet and interact with royalty, so I will be prepared in case that comes up.
