Royalty free music

Music (as well as photos) can not be used for advertising, profit, or public presentation without the right to do so. Royalty-free licensing is a simple way to get it. Tip: Royalty-free Music, German Sounddesign Gallery

Who needs royalty-free music?

You need sound sound for a Website? You are planning a catchy TV-Spot? Image-video for your company? Perfect Multimedia-Presentation, but no background music? Movie is done, but still mute?

Well, you don´t need music (I suppose, you´ve got enough of it at home.....). You need the legitimacy to use it!

How to...?

In general, a license is the legitimacy to use music ( or photos ) in a public way, like film, TV-commercials, broadcast or multimedia. Licensing can be done as:

1. Rights Managed License: The rights are managed by a complex fee, according to time, purpose or range of the media. Usually necessary for exclusive music.

2. Royalty-free License: No periodic royalties must be paid. You pay only a 1-time license fee for use; there are no further costs. So don´t mess up " royalty-free " with " no costs ", although sometimes the right to use a soundtrack can be acquired for free. Royaltyfree music is a good value, if you get along with non-exclusive material and a simple licensing mode.

Who does...?

In the www you will find many companies offering Royalty-free Music (also known as Music Library, Production Music, or Stock Music). Get a search engine started, or check the tips given on this site.

Licenses can be acquired online; after that the music is delivered as a mp3 download, or, in some cases, on CD . And, of course, vice versa: Stock Photos ... the same mode.
But, in any case: Have a look at the Terms of Use!
