- To answer that question-- Large stores like Home Depot have very few cabinets in stock (it takes up a lot of space) so they encourage you to "special order" their cabints and then the store will add-on a huge mark up in price. Buying online cuts out the middle man, try rtacabinetstore.com

- I compared prices and the RTA cabinets were on average $26.00 less than Home Depot. PLUS they are made of real wood, home depot is using particle board.

- These prices are very low and the quality is better. I noticed that there is no particle board. Its solid fronts and paneled sides. Very nice.

- Another good point to make. If you use a combination of 30" and 42" cabinets you can create a custom look with the staggered sized cabinets (using 42" cabinets in the corner cabinet to create different shadow lines). The crown molding really capped it off
