When generating electricity, part of mechanical energy is wasted. When hydrogen is being burnt, heat energy is also negatively affected, and so on.

In the end, your water-fuelled car may still run but not as long as you'd want it to since such a big amount of energy had been wasted.

Others propose using a gas pill of sorts to convert ordinary water into a usable form of fuel for your car. This theory has actually been tried and tested with a full-sized car. It produced positive results, but it was not as significant one would like. The conversion process had still been flawed, with water and its by-products continuing to be used and wasted unnecessarily.
