Building On A Budget - What This Review Is About

When I first started with online marketing, I was overwhelmed with information. There really is too much out there, and a lot of it just isn't worth it... even as a free report. I'm doing this review to help anyone trying to get their head into the online marketing game to understand what Building On A Budget can offer, and what is missing so you'll know exactly what to expect and what else you'll need.

There is no doubt that Mike Dillard is one of the best marketers out there. And one of the great things about him, is his desire to help people. He truly believes that what you receive in this world is directly related to what you give.

This is demonstrated in Building On A Budget and is certainly a must read for anyone considering marketing online. There are few things, however, that people need to know to correctly set their expectations and avoid disappointment.

First I will outline what Building On A Budget will give you and then follow that with the things I believe it doesn't cover and will be relevant to the reader in applying the advice contained within it.

What You Get

Building On A Budget covers five key marketing strategies to get free traffic to your site. This includes taking advantage of Squidoo, Video, Press Release, Blogs and the basics of a funded proposal. In true Mike Dillard fashion, there is no fluff here!

These are all great marketing strategies and Mike does provide a step by step overview of how to implement each of these. After providing the high-level steps, he then provides guidelines for the most effective use of the strategy. Lastly, he follows up with reasons for using the strategy as well as tips & tricks to get the most out of it.

For video, press release and blogs, there are examples and references to the key tools that will increase the effectiveness and exposure of those marketing techniques. I had discovered these myself before getting Building On A Budget and had wished I'd read it sooner because these tools are not necessarily easy to find, but are of immense value and really key to success and using these techniques. Once again, Mike isn't holding back on his insights and you get recommendations from a proven success.

So What Is Missing?

Alright, now that you see the great value of what you are getting. I just want to warn you of what you are not getting.

You do not get insights into keyword research or identifying a niche to market in. Building On A Budget assumes you've got this covered. I can't go into them here because they are both fairly in-depth topics in their own right.

It also doesn't get into the details of attraction marketing, though his other product Magnetic Sponsoring does cover this in detail.

The explanation of a funded proposal describes Magnetic Sponsoring and may not be clear to a newbie as to how they could do it themselves. Not a big deal since Mike has setup his funded proposal system to be used by any who choose to be affiliates for these products.
This allows them to freely leverage all the time, money and effort that Mike and his teams have spent in fine-tuning the Magnetic Sponsoring funded proposal system.

Conclusion

I think its clear that anyone considering marketing online should get Building On A Budget.
Online marketing requires constant education and Building On A Budget is an excellent starter that provides a definite plan for a newbie to start marketing online.

I strongly recommend the Magnetic Sponsoring also, as it goes into more detail.
