(In a good way!) Yes, Russell Brand is a mind-boggling man who has stretched the envelope of the word 'celebrity'. He is an incredibly unique man, flamboyant in dress sense, relentless in vocabulary and outspoken with opinions.

His weekly radio show, on Saturday nights for Radio 2, (9pm - 11pm) fills the minds of listeners to the brim with witty comedy, satire and opinions of the world that he eagerly observes.

He is also well known for his stand-up, film, television and his autobiography.

Russell Edward Brand (born June 4, 1975) is an English radio and television personality, comedian, actor, and newspaper columnist. Brand dresses in a flamboyant bohemian fashion describing himself as looking like an "S&M Willy Wonka". Brand's current style consists of black eyeliner, drainpipe jeans, Beatle boots, and long, shaggy, backcombed hair.

The Radio Show

Saturdays, 9-11pm, BBC Radio 2

Each Saturday night, from 9pm until 11pm, Radio 2 broadcasts The Russell Brand Show. Russell's co-host is long time friend Matt Morgan. He started co-hosting with Russell after the first few episodes of the his radio career on BBC Radio 6Music in 2002. Since then, the show has had a snowball effect, and has since become the number 1 downloaded podcast many times since April 2007.

In October 2006, BBC announced a 40% rise in listeners to BBC digital radio, which they claimed was largely attributed to host Russell Brand. According to industry ratings body Rajar, the station was attracting over 400,000 listeners.

The show often features phone calls from Noel Gallagher, or possibly even Noel Fielding. Other guests do come in too though; often either rock stars such as 'Slash' or workers from children's shows (such as puppeteers).
