Russia versus United States: who will win this war?
Today, the war between United States and Russia is not over; although, Russia has replaced their political view into liberal mind. Both countries wan to be number one in this world. Recently, the military exercise in Georgia shocked Russia. Georgia is near Russia Territory. Russia also refuse the anti air missile installation in Georgia.
The cold war between Russia and United States has beginning since Czar Nicholas II was coupe by Bolshevik Revolution. United States worried the Soviet threat United States region. The hostile was stopped because the world war I.
United States should have side with Germany troops in Europe countries. Finally, both countries could win from Russia, Turkish and Austria-Hungary. Russia got more regions in World War I. Then, US faced with Great depression.
United States and Russia was cooperating to fight Germany in Europe. Certainly, Russia also attack Japan near Russia territory. Both countries also got victory in World War II. Russia get largest territory in Eastern Europe and Southern Europe. Russian stood in East Germany; meanwhile, US and alliances stood in West Germany.
Five years after World War II, the cold war was beginning. North Korea with Russian support invaded South Korea. If United States did not deploy troops, we would not hear South Korea.
Then five next years, United States invaded Vietnam. United States failed to keep South Vietnam from Communist. United States pulled back the troops from Saigon in 1972.
In early, 1990 Afghan warrior defeated Russian troops. After that, Russia has broken into eleven pieces. Russia is also bankrupt. Certainly, United States is behind Russia loss. United States help Afghan warrior with weapon and money.
The war is not ending today. Russia still want increase their supremacy in the world. Certainly, US will not let Russia take its supremacy. So who is the winner of the war?

I believe russia is a very formidable opponent and would pose a major challenge to Us forces. Even though russia has so much man power they are spread out over a larger area and have many entry points to the country they would have to guard, but we in the us onky have three routes that are accesible for russia. One an invasion of eastern america which we would see coming and be able to slow down before it could really harm us, two a pacific route which would be halted by our superior naval strength, and a invasion through alaska in which they would also have to deal with canadian troops before they got to the us. Both sides will have massive losses but i believe the us will eventually win the war if there is any world left afterwards

We were attacked by Germany, France, Poland, Persia, and Finland, Turkey, Italy, Hungary and many others.We are strong in spirit and not let the enemy in our country.I am against the war, I am respectful to all countries, but if it happens, Russia will win , or there will be a "nuclear winter", after the use of nuclear weapons would be nothing left alive on earth.

Play the command and conquer red alert games to find out. Just kidding! This would be a war of attrition on both sides, fought primarily in Eastern Europe and Korea. The U.S. would control the ocean and all blue water ports, and limit most Russian subs to coastal defense, but not without paying a heavy price. The U.S. would also have the advantage of amphibious assault and greater logistics. What Russia has going for it is the country's size. They could play possum, feint a retreat, then go all out in the defense and counter attack like with nazi Germany. A red dawn scenario is highly unlikely, due to constant U.S. radar aircraft coverage, plus the Russians would be fighting the world's largest armed citizenry. I do agree with the point that the U.S. exports food to Russia, as this would be halted during conflict. And all this is predicated on either side not using nuclear weapons, and China and India and Europe not choosing sides with the exceptions of Korea and Poland allowing the U.S. to use these countries as staging areas.

If the US is busy with Russia, how do you expect Iraq and Israel to hole their own against all the other Arab nations? How do you know that the Al Qaeda sleeper cell will not awaken and do serious damage to the US? If such a war were to happen, nukes would be the first resort.
If the US and Russia were to fight, everyone would jump in. The Arab countries will get back at Israel, becaue they know that Israel can only hold it's own provided they have a steady amount of supplies and money from the US. Iran would know that Iraq was weak and move in for the kill, and deal it's wrath after the loss in the Iraq-Iran war. North Korea and China will invade South Korea. Pakistan is already a mess, and I suppose that Al Qaeda will clean up and establish a base there. There are quite a few Nuclear powers in this area which include: India, Pakistan, Israel, China, Russia. I think that Russia might sell some of it's nuclear arsenals to terrorists and they will set off bombs in Europe killing millions. Then there are Britain and France who are nuclear powers. They will fire back in retaliation killing millions, How ever i think America would win due to the more experience we have at war.

Do not delude yourself into thinking Russia even has a chance. The Country of Russia no longer owns the ability to wage war. Their economy has been on a massive downturn since ww2. Not only that, but America spends more money on it's military than any other country in the world. Thus allowing us to fund more troops, better weapons, better equipment, and train our men better. Russia barely has the size advantage they have a slight 2 million soldier edge (which isn't much).

The USA is unwilling to invade russia and Russia is unable to invade America. No its hightly unlikely that russia would overcome the USA in a armed conflict, The USA has many strong allies including the United kingdom, Mexaco, Canada, isreal & France among others. along with the all the technology advances the USA and its allies have russia would be taking on a force they could not comprehend. Russia had been trying UK defences over last 3 years with over 26 attempts to enter british airspace since 2009 each time they have been intercepted and escorted out by british war jets. also 1 attempt to bring a russian air craft carrier into british waters they were stopped in thier tracks. if they were as good as they say they would not find the need to test out defences. The United States are the most powerful country in the world russie have hell of a long way to come before they even come close and it wont be in this lifetime. russia hides behind nucler power as it is really all it has, though their army is big its not as well trained as US and UK forces we have the worlds 2 best elite forces, not blowing my own trumpet being british but Britain has the best intelligence gathering agency in the world. Exactly what is needed before going into conflict with any country. the likes of russia is only trying to make friends with the likes of china as china is one of the world leading technology counties with a very good economy by having china at thier side would make russia feel a stronger country but this would be highly unlikely as the growing conflict between china and korea over korea's nuclear program should a full scall conflict become imminent then china will look to the US and UK for Help.

Well the guy below me said that the Japanese and Chinese would win but this isn't really possible because China has an economic dependency to trade with USA and Japan not only suck American dick all day in their culture, but they are pansies and have no nukes. Russia and China also have terrible navies so I doubt either, or maybe even both, could even beat Britain's navy, let alone having support from American aircrafts and navies too.

It all depends on who invades who for example if russia decides to invade they might get an early victory but once the US stops the the russian army from importing ammo and food supplies the tide will turn plus we have our allies in mexico if in fact they do decide to invade they would win the battle but they wont win the war and so what if americans are ignorant we can still kick ass and win basically all wars

Strategy is key and depends on who is invading who. US maintains bases and allies all around Russia, cutting down on travel, refueling, resupplying, etc. The US is bordered by a Canada, Mexico and water and would be difficult for Russia to keep a foothold. Not to mention that the US population is armed. There is less to land border to defend. US forces are battle tested and leadership very experienced. Forces are well funded, modern and have real experience in virtually all terrains. Despite what you think about Afghanistan or Iraq, military objectives were met. I dont think either country could successfully carry out a sustained occupation but I give the US the edge in the air, sea or ground based on logistics, experience and funding

US will win only because the united states is the number one exporter of food in the world. Russia cannot grow because its land is to cold and no fertile soil. The chinese may export the rice but without american food sources russia would have no food to feed its soldiers. If the united states stopped exporting food, approx. 71 nations would starve. Plus the USA spends 30 times more in military funding than any other nation.
