Russian Politics

Americans who assume that Russian politics can be disregarded now that the Soviet Union is no longer in existence are naive. No nation that covers as much territory as Russia ought to be ignored.

Russia remains a global power, and with the United States threatening to put missiles in Europe and weapons in outer space, an arms race could easily be rekindled.
