To educate people with sickle cell

Given my own health issues over many years i have finally found a way to manage my sickle cell and i have to shout about it from the rooftops. Sickle Cell gets so little attention around the world - help me raise its awareness and togther we can really kick something into motion that will change the world for millions of people. o.akiboye@btinternet.com

Go natural with sickle cell

Eating healthy

As one with sickle cell, I use to eat what I felt like eating, sometimes these were not very norishing. As one with sickle cell and asthma, I had one infection after the other, yet I was on penicilin, when I had an infection I was given a stronger antibiotic which made matters worse, because most of the time I would have a crisis following this infection and the treatment. At the end of the day the infection does not clear properly. Those with sickle cell would notice that penicilin, folic acid, and strong pain killers, are the main things given to us. But the body needs far more than that to survive, the reason being that those with out a disease are still struggling to keep healthy in this polluted world how much more those with a body that is not complete. We need more to keep our body healthy.
Since I have changed to healthy eating there is a lot of difference in my body, and I feel much heathier.

About myself

Story of my life

I was born in the London, I have had sickle cell since I was about six months old. But I am alive and in good health. Glory be to God, and the glyconutrients which have helped a lot.I am over 50 now and my quality of life has never been better. I went through a lot during my youth, and there was a time when I though the end had come, this was when I was at the age of 20. I gradually pulled through, it took me ages before I got back on to my feet. During my youth I had a lot of jaundice, and I was always admitted into hospital. With pain strong killers, saline drip and oxygen, the norm for sickle cell. I have found that during the course of my journey, natural things have been my best bet, I am sure most people with sickle cell would agree with me. If one sticks close enough to nature, you would not get into trouble, and there would be less of crisis.

Hope for sickle cell

close to nature

I believe that those with sickle cell can live a quality life. Many are afraid to leave a place of comfort, to try natural things. I do understand where they are coming from, because I have been there before and I know the pain I went through, but it is worth a trial.

Hello there I have just written a lens to draw attention to the research pertaining to Nitric Oxide. I had no idea how debilitating and horrible a disease this is until now. I am glad to hear you say you are controlling it nutritionally. www.arginine4life.com
