Why does it seem that people hate to get ahead? One simple word comes to mind, and that is simply laziness. People are extremely lazy when it comes to getting ahead and making things better for themselves, but they are the first to complain about how things don't go their way. Honestly, people must not really understand the saying, "if you really want something done you have to do it yourself." In today's society people are so willing to have someone else does work for them. It seems that people only do things when they are forced to do them.

Think about it, how many people are willing to do things for themselves or anything extra unless they are forced to do it. There aren't too many out there. People need to stop being lazy and put themselves ahead. They need to take action and put themselves first. There is no way that a person can be successful unless they are a little bit selfish. It's no good to sit still in any area of your life.

Even though people know they want to get ahead, situations arise that can sometimes prevent them from getting there. People get comfortable and stop trying, or they think that trying won't make a difference anyways. People have to understand that in order to truly get ahead they have to work harder on themselves than they do for their jobs. That's not something that can just happen over night. It has to be worked on, but it can happen. One of the most important things that people never realize is their worth. They do not give themselves enough credit.

People in general need to learn educate themselves. That can be in all different forms. If they never learn how to do anything, than they will always be worthless. In whatever a person does, if they start doing more, they start learning more. The more they learn the more valuable they are to their community and the world. The more valuable a person is in the world, and then more they are needed. Then at that point they start understanding how other people before them have moved ahead of the average person.

People have to be willing to do the things necessary to get ahead. If they do not, they will be unhappy and unsatisfied for the rest of their lives. Laziness cannot even be a factor when it comes to people wanting to get ahead.

In order to live financially free, one must know what it is. To live financially free is ultimately a state of mind. It is a phrase that has become huge in today's world. It describes the lifestyle in that nobody is required to work for income to take care of their expenses. Finances are not really a concern when one has obtained the level to live free financially. Also, when one has obtained financial freedom, they are able to take time on activities without trading their free time for income. Financial freedom is based around exchangeable assets that compound over time to cover for regular expenses. Therefore, wealth is created which generates more time and money. This allows people to cut their working hours without worrying about a loss of income because of their extra money making activities.

Once one has achieved and becme financiall free, they require a different mindset. In college people are taught to work for money. Because of this, people put in time to work and then they receive their wage. This is the well-known time for money swap. Financial freedom removes the concept of time-and-money-swap and allows an individual to make money that works for them. Achieving financial freedom also involves a different shift in lifestyle as well. While it is easy to think about having more time to one's self, most office workers still find that whatever amount of time that they have should be used in a daily routine. One major step to achieving freedom financially is realizing that there are other ways to make better use of one's time.

People in general should also remove the negative perception of money. Many have heard the saying, "money is the root to all evil," but believing that this is always the case will provide a sickening view about creating wealth.
