It was on this day that third baseman Ryan Braun was promoted from the AAA Nashville Sounds to the Milwaukee Brewers. Braun wasted no time in making his impact felt by recording his first major league hit on May 25th and his first home run the very next night. He continued on a torrid offensive pace for the remainder of the season and was named the 2007 National League Rookie of the Year. During the offseason, Braun was switched from 3rd base to left field.
