Here's a little info about Ryan Reynolds background
On the 23rd of October in 1976, Ryan Reynolds came into this world in Vancouver, Canada. Since his introduction into Hollywood, he has been seen in numerous film and television roles, starring with many gorgeous leading ladies (Sandra Bullock in The Proposal, for example). Scarlett Johansson, another beautiful actress is his wife. He is also famous for his parts in other movies like Definitely Maybe, Van Wilder, and Wolverine X-Men Origins. Ryan's big nutrition secret is this: Eat 6 meals a day, never going longer than 2 or 3 hours in between.
He's not ever eating so much that he gets overfull, and he's not starving himself. Drinking lots of water all day long is one of Ryan's tips, too. There's really nothing spectacular about this nutrition plan; it's just solid and works exceptionally well for gaining muscle and shedding fat. Since Ryan was not overweight to begin with, his emphasis was more on the gaining muscle rather than losing weight. If you have a few excess pounds that you'd like to get rid of, you may wish to first center your efforts on shedding fat.

Here's an example of Ryan's diet
Here's an example of a typical day of nutrition for Ryan Reynolds. (Remember to drink lots of water).
Breakfast consists of 2 eggs plus an extra half cup of egg whites, a cup of oatmeal with applesauce, and a slice of avocado.
He has a protein bar for morning snack.
Lean chicken or tuna for lunch, with salad or various veggies.
For mid-day snack, he eats a protein bar or apple with almonds, and has a protein drink.
Ryan with then have broiled fish or chicken for dinner, along with brown rice and salad or some other veggie.
Evening snack is a protein drink.
Ryan confirms that eating six to eight meals with small portions every two to three hours is indeed better that three large meals. He reaffirms that it is crucial to adding and defining muscle tone. Ryan eats most of his carbohydrates after a workout, and doesn't eat them after 8 pm. He has mentioned that he thinks depriving oneself of carbs really doesn't work. Ryan understands that the body needs carbs, and believes that without them you just get irritated.

Darren Chapman is the specialist that helped Ryan get into such fantastic shape.
Darren Chapman has also trained such actresses as Jessica Biel. He once was an Olympic bobsledder for the United Kingdom. Darren is every bit as aware of the dietary aspects as he is the fitness aspects. Utilizing visualization techniques, he aided Ryan in accomplishing his goals. Ryan states that his nutrition and fitness program was much like preparing for an Olympiad. Ryan's exercise regimen is as follows:
Beginning with sit-ups, then moving on to heavy weights to build solid muscle, sessions lasted anywhere from two to three hours. As Ryan was already thin, Darren had him completely skip cardio to dedicate all his time to building muscle. His weight lifting consisted of multiple exercises, with repetitions of 8 to 12, for 6 days per week.
As with your nutrition, if you have some excess fat you wish to shed, you may have to incorporate in some cardiovascular / aerobic exercise. But even if this is so, don't focus on it too much. Resistance workouts with interval cardio will give you the body you want much faster that running at a constant speed for an hour.
Ryan focused on one muscle group a day. For example, first day was chest, next day back, following day shoulders, one day for legs, and one day for arms. Upon being questioned as to how much he could bench, he really didn't particularly care to keep track because he feels it's not really anything to boast about anyway. Simply stated, gaining muscle is different for each individual. Getting bigger, and getting stronger, are two completely different things. Take power-lifting in the men's 148 pound class, for instance. Many of the men you see bench-pressing upwards of 400 pounds don't look all that big.

Some Actually Thought Ryan's Abs Were Fake!
For the toned, sexy celebrity appearance, you should place your emphasis on shedding fat and toning up your midsection. You can actually appear bigger if the muscle you have is toned an sculpted, rather than just putting on more bulk. You just don't look as "big" with a spare tire.
With many celebs getting implants for just about everything these day, some speculate that Ryan got them, too. People believed that his abs were nothing more than a fancy prosthetic job. But his abs are really HIS ABS! And they are clearly among the best in Hollywood. I certainly would like to have that on my resume!
Anyway, this set of guidelines is just one of many suggestions for what can be done to get toned up. Some body types will simply not respond to this plan as well as others. There's just no specific set rules on what to eat or how to exercise that will always work for everybody, but there are some simple and practical guidelines that should work for just about everyone.
Just remember to keep things relatively simple, and don't think that there's a "magic pill" or "super diet" that is somehow going to miraculously dissolve all your excess weight for you. These are just tricks and schemes, that you really don't need anyway, that just want to steal your time and money.
