Ryan Reynolds Ab Workout

Ryan Reynolds Ab WorkoutThe most impressive aspect of Ryan Reynolds physique is his extremely ripped six pack and obliques, this is what most people first noticed after he did his Ryan Reynolds workout. In order to get such great abs Ryan maintained a diet that was high in protein and low in fat and he performed exercises that targeted his abs and obliques.

One of the hardest areas for men to get in shape is their lower abs and this is where most of their body fat is stored, to combat this Ryan did weighted leg raises by laying with his back on the floor and raising a 15kg dumbbell with his legs and then lowering so that they were 6 inches of the floor. 5 sets of 10 x reps is ideal for this workout and you should take 2 seconds to raise and 2 seconds to lower.

Then to work the middle abs Ryan Reynolds workout routine involved traditional sit ups, Ryan once again took 2 seconds to go up then 2 seconds to come down. Rushing sit ups will lose the effect the exercise has on your abs and you can damage your back so take your time. 5 sets of 15 x reps is ideal.

To target his obliques Ryan would do a put his hands and feet on the floor then bring his right knee up to his left elbow and then his left knee up to his right elbow to engage his obliques. This is a great exercise and is key to the Ryan Reynolds ab workout!

Ryan Reynolds Diet

Ryan Reynolds DietAs mentioned before a major factor of Ryan Reynolds workout is his diet, if Ryan didn't have a good diet it would be near impossible for him to have such ripped abs.

Rather than eat 3 large meals a day and maybe going hungry at points Ryan ate 6 meals a day, this meant his sugar levels were even throughout the day so he never felt the urge to snack.

This is a normal days Ryan Reynolds diet:

Breakfast - 2 eggs, oatmeal with no sugar (use apple sauce to add flavor) and then a protein bar an hour later.

Lunch - Meat (lean chicken, steak or fish) with vegetables and brown rice

Dinner - Fish or chicken with salad and vegetables

In between the 3 meals Ryan would eat foods such as protein bars, protein shakes, nuts, fruit. Ryan did not eat after 8PM as in the night time your body does not burn fat because you're not exercising. Post workout Ryan consumed a lot of protein to feed his muscles.
