About Me

Hello and welcome, my
name is Ryan Jones, and I am the author of the ryansonlinebusiness
lens and the web master of www.ryansjones.com
(it is a pre-built website loaded with information, special offers from great
companies, resources such as online books, videos, and other fine services
aimed at helping many people like you find what they need, see my other lenses
for more information about my websites).
I live in the Seattle area graduated from Northwest University and have
gotten a part time job as a Sales Associate at Kohl's in Snohomish, working in
the men's department and helping customers find what they need.  I also work as a sales demonstrator at
various grocery stores through a marketing agency called, New Concepts in
Marketing.  To help supplement my income
more, I decided to buy into the home-based business industry through www.yourbizwebsites.com after
purchasing 11 websites all aimed at marketing to hot fields.  I have quite a bit of sponsors that are
paying me to promote their products on my websites, and after getting advice on
a getting started tutorial, I decided to get an account with squidoo to help better promote my websites (free networks
like squidoo, myspace, and
others are good ways to get the word out and beats pay-per-click advertising,
which gets expensive after a while and emailing random people about my
websites, which can be awkward and annoying after a while).

Now I am sure that some
of you might not like that idea and would rather I don't promote those
websites, but there are a few pointers: 1) I am an "average joe"
trying to earn extra money trying to help various businesses promote their
products, as they are paying me for referring potiental
customers to their websites to get products services they have to offer.  Some have special promotions that people like
you might want to check out, some have affiliate programs you can join yourself,
some offer business, health, and many other special tools and resources to help
with your needs, and many other cool stuff.
You almost have to think of internet/affiliate marketing this way: it is
a lot like how big retail environments work, such as Wal-mart,
Costco, Commessaries, and others.  You have the store managers and people
backing them who have products and services to sell, there are many other types
of managers and supervisors to help oversee operations in the stores, then you
have sales associates who are expected to help the store promote their
products, keeping the store tidy and helping customers find what they
need.  Then you also have vendors who
have various special functions, such as conducting inventorys,
helping with promotions (such as food vendors that give out free samples of
food you see at many grocery stores), assisting with merchandising-relate
services, and many other types of services.
I am more like a vendor, an independent contractor that helps various
sponsors (such as google, amazon.com, CompUSA,
Toshiba, sellers from Clickbank, and many other
companies and businesses) by referring potential customers to their websites so
that they can check out the fine products they have.  Without people who help promote one's
products and services, most businesses would probably fail over time.  For example, think of major fast food chains,
like McDonalds and Burger King.  You see
commercials for them all the time, big signs posted outside of the buildings
they are in, newspaper ads, contests (such as the monopoly sweepstakes at
McDonalds), and many other advertising venues.
Imagine if all the sudden, McDonalds (for example) were to stop making commercials, take down their signs an just wait for
interested people to find their company.
McDonalds would probably not be in business for very long.  Similarly, I help sponsors advertise their
products, services, and everything else they have to offer.  Of course, they all have stuff you might want
yourself, and please feel free to not pass them up.  2) I will take utmost care that your
experience visiting my pages will be pleasurable (I will plan on auditing my
sponsors every now and then to make sure that they are all legitimate and you
get the most for your money).  3) I want
to help contribute to the business world and help people find what they need.

            Anyways,
am active in the community and have been a Christian most of my life so far, have
two dogs: a golden retriever and a Shizu, am part of
the City Church in Kirkland, have lived in the Seattle area since I was almost
12 (though I was born in California and lived in Illinois for 10 years before
moving to Washington).  I went to high
school at Jackson in Mill Creek and even attended Pacific Lutheran University
for a year and a half before attending Northwest University for the remainder
of my years.  Some past jobs I have held
includes: being a cafeteria worker (at both PLU and Northwest), working as a
custodian at Snohomish Publishing company, worked on an inventory crew for a
few months (WIS), worked in the Northwest Alumni office for several semesters,
worked at the PLU book store and many other places.  I am also an eagle scout (went all the way in
boy scouts back during my high school career), love to travel, play video games;
browse the internet, and more.

Fast facts on Seattle:
- Seattle is perhaps the biggest city along the west coast between San Francisco and Ancorage, Alaska (besides Portland and Vancouver, BC)
- Major highways and freeways:
Interstate 5: Runs all the way from Tijuana, Mexico to downtown Vancouver, BC. Interstate 5 is the second longest freeway in the state (besides I-90) probably the busiest one along the coast, considering that it is the main thoroughfare along the coast, connecting Mexico with Canada through California, Oregon, and Washington
Interstate 90: perhaps the longest freeway in the world. Runs from Seattle to Boston, running though major cities like Billings, Madison, Chicago, Cleveland, and others along the way in between.
Interstate 405/SR518/SR 525- this is one of the busiest freeways in the state. It runs from SR 99 (which is one of the main artiels running from Everett to Tacoma, with a few short freeway segments through Seattle near Mukliteo to SR 509 (an 8 mile spur that connects Burien/Sea-Tac with downtown Seattle and the Greelake area via SR 99, and is slated to be extended to Interstate 5 near Kent sometime in the future) in Burien. I-405 provides a heavily used bypass route through Seattle, connects to the Valley Freeway, and even has connections to the Sea-Tac airport via 518.
- SR 520: this freeway is only 13 miles long, connecting Seattle with Redmond (home of Microsoft and Nintendo of America). SR 520 is famous for the Evergreen Floating Bridge (currently the longest floating bridge in the world).
- SR 167/512- This is the Valley Freeway, providing a good bypass route through the Tacoma area via Puyallup, Sumner and Auburn. The SR 167 freeway is slated for extension to I-5 sometime in the intermediate future (it is unclear when exactly it will be built), which will create 2 major freeways going though the south end of the Puyallup River Valley and connect to Interstate 5.
(this is only a partial list, for more info on Seattle Freeways and Highways, there are websites exclusively on those.

Climate/Precipitation: It is a marine climate (similar to Portland and San Francisco), so it is mild a good portion of the year. In the summer, temperatures average 75 degrees farenheight and rarely get above the 90's. In the winter, temperatures can get quite chilly with temperatures ranging from the low 30's and the lower 40's (sometime it can get into the 20's as well). Also, it does rain often in Seattle, so travelers to the Seattle area should go prepared for rain (it usually rains at least once or twice a week even during the summers).

Some attractions: Pacific Science Center, Pike Place Market (rumored to be haunted by various sources such as www.theshadowlands.net), the woodland park zoo, the puget sound ferry system, Paine Field in Everett, the Seattle Mariners, Microsoft, Boeing, Snoqualamie falls, the Kitsap Penninsula and Whidbey Islands, ferry rides to Victoria, and Seattle also functions as a gateway into Canada (from Everett, it is only an hour and a half drive without traffic to get to the border), and many others.

Some famous people you probably know about that live in the Seattle area: Bill Gates, Paul Allen, seattle mayor Greg Nichols, and others

Feel free to click on them and check out my sites and what they have to offer. Besides my day job, I also take up what is called affiliate marketing, which is a form of web marketing where you can promote other peoples and companies' products and commissions for sales you send to their websites (though some advertisers pay on a per lead or click basis). Feel free to check them out and visit the advertisers that I am hosting on them. Currently, the websites are not fully complete, but they are taking form, and after adding all of the commercial content on my sites, I plan to add extra content as well.
