K.I.S.S. Principle
Keep It Simple Stupid!
- use gmail.com to handle the 2 email accounts, your contact and your list emails, to use any safelist. gmail gives you the ability to delete large quantities of emails at once. Being apart of safelists require that you receive 'large quantities' of emails from other safelist marketers; thus, gmail can delete a lot a once (90,000 or so) and can create multiple accounts.
- always use short conversational titles in the subject line...(I saw your website...)(Your website is cool...)(We should have recognized...) Most people involved with safelists are advertising their website, so implying about their websites give your email a better chance of being opened.
- never use long sales copy in the body of the email...a few short sentences work best because your goal is to get them to your website, not spend all day reading your email.
- take time to read a sample of the list emails you get in return for using the safelist...this gives you the ability to research other advertisers in the network...glance through a few pages of emails and open ones that interest you, then copy the title style that got you interested enough to open the email ... use that style when sending your own safelist advertisement emails.
- actively try to capture contact information from others using safelists...this is a quick way to build a personal marketing list for yourself.
- must use safelist consistently and continuously...this repetition of branding your name into other reader's eyes and mind give you a better chance of getting your email opened, thus, making contact with a prospect and potential sale faster mailing to the safelist every once and awhile.
My Top 5 Safelists:
I use these safelists every day!
If you had the ability to send your ad to 95,000 people with one email!
or
If you had the ability to send an ad to 8,500 people with one email!!
Which list of people do you imagine has the best results in sales and responses?
You may automatically assume that the list of 95,000 people would be your best bet, and the list of 8,500 people should be left alone...don't be fooled into ignoring safelists with small membership bases. These smaller lists may be better because of a newer contact base, as the bigger list may be a lot older with a percent of non-participating members giving the illusion of a bigger list. Pay as much attention to small safelists as large ones and you will be rewarded by both. Below is a list of the top 5 safelists I use every day!

- Agree with you too. If you will I give some numbers. In fact for 2010 The USA's Direct Marketing Association predicts an ROI for e-mail in the region of US$43. That's over $43 returned for each dollar invested in email marketing. I think email marketing is good money, bad news is that access to these sorts of returns isn't easy.
