I Use Saga Remy Hair For My Sew In Weave Exensions. So Far I'm Pleased With Results

I've been using Saga Remy Hair for almost a year now and I really like that it doesn't tangle. It doesn't feel plastic or fake.

My Saga Remy hair looks practically new after I wash it and has lots of flow and body. The best part is if you are on a budget, the hair can be removed, washed, and reused for a new sew in installation.

As long as you take care of your Saga Remy hair , you really shouldn't have many problems, at least I don't. Now there are a few things about the hair that I don't like, but nothing serious and I will discuss them In this lens a long with a description of how I care for my hair and what products and supplies I use.

Saga Remy Hair Is Not The "Highest" Quality Weave Hair But It's Great For The Cost

If you've been researching remy hair extensions, then you know that they can be quite pricey. If you're looking for cheap hair extensions, good luck. Chances are you will end up with some synthetic brand of hair that will mat constantly and shed like crazy. Two things I knew that I did not want to deal with.

I would have like to have been able to purchase a higher quality Indian Remi Hair, but I just could not justify paying over $200 for a package of hair extensions. I know some ladies who pay way more than that. My goal was to find something in the middle. I searched for remy hair extensions that were good quality, but not too expensive. My search led me to Sage Remy hair.

I Experienced Minimal Shedding And Almost No Matting With Saga Remy Hair

But I did have some issues with another brand of hair extensions

I've heard that the shorter length Saga Remy hair extensions shed far less than the longer length. I have purchased the 10 inch and the 12 inch. Neither of these lengths of hair have shed (a lot) nor have they matted.

A professional suggested I try another brand when I removed my first Saga Remy installation. It looked really pretty when she was done, but a few hours later, I was disappointed because it started shedding and matting up almost immediately. I paid about $30 a bag for it, so it wasn't very expensive (as far as hair extensions go that's cheap).

To save you from purchasing, I will disclose the name of this unruly hair that I am talking about. It's called Janet Collection (relaxed) 1B30. I love the texture, but I wouldn't recommend you get Janet Collection, Permed 1B30 brand unless you don't mind brushing your hair every 30 minutes.

Again, don't get me wrong, the texture blends well with relaxed or natural African American hair and it is very pretty, but Janet Collection (relaxed) 1B30 will shed and it will matte. So for beauty's sake, please have a good brush handy.

Please Don't Put Too Much Product On Your Saga Gold Remy Hair

Saga hair extensions don't like a lot of product and you will get build up

One thing I learned early on was that Saga Remy hair weighs down really easily. I'm used to product build up and weighted down hair because my own hair is fine and product weighs it down really easily. The same goes for the Saga Gold human hair extensions.

Use minimal product on the hair, if any at all. Honestly, I try not to put any product on the weave hair at all. I put product on my hair that has been left out (my center part and along my edges and nape area). For the areas of my real hair that are exposed, I use oil sheen spray and protein hair gel.

The oil sheen helps with fly away hairs and moisturizes my natural hair at the same time. Protein gel helps blend my natural hair better on top near my center part. I have noticed if I spray the Saga Remy hair with product, it becomes limp and has almost no body at all. At that point I simply wear my hair in a bun or pony tail. The good news is when I wash it, all is well again and the hair is beautiful.

You Don't Have To Spend A Lot Of Money On Products For Your Saga Remy Hair

I Wash The Saga Gold Hair A Few Times A Week With A Couple Of Different Shampoos

For shampooing, I've narrowed my choices down to two or three shampoo products. You may be surprised to know that you don't have to spend a lot of money on hair products for your hair extensions. I use Dove Shampoo And Conditioner or Creme Of Nature Shampoo and Conditioner. If I have a lot of build up because of an up-do style, then I may use a clarifying shampoo followed the above products.

How often do I wash my hair? Whenever there is build up or the hair seems limp and is in need of life support. I don't blow dry the hair, I air dry and I only use a paddle brush when the hair is about 70 percent dry. I find if I try to brush while the hair is really wet, I increase shedding. So while it's super wet, I finger comb it into a pony tail and wait for it to dry a bit more before trying to brush it.

I Flat Iron My Hair Extensions With My Pink Chi Flat Iron And Then Wrap With A Silk Scarf

Saga Remy Hair Looks Great After It's Been Flat Ironed

As you can see the washing process does take a bit of time, so try to plan accordingly (if you wash and style slowly like I do). Once the hair is completely dry, I paddle brush it and begin to flat iron sections of the hair extensions with my pink Chi Flat Iron.

This whole process usually happens at night, so after I flat iron, I wrap my hair and tie a silk scarf around it. In the morning when I brush it out, my hair has loads of bounce and body.

Note: When I flat iron my natural hair on top, sides, and nape, I apply heat protectant product by Revlon first so that my own hair isn't damaged.

As I said before the Saga Remy hair has given my no problems worth mentioning. As long as I care for it and wash it when product builds up, the hair is great. So go for it. Get your hair done and while you're at it, treat yourself to a new dress to go with your new hair style.

You don't have to purchase a Chi Flat Iron, there are many ceramic flat irons that are available in your local beauty store or online.
