Walking the Forgotten Paths: A Lens on Goddess Oriented Spirituality
It has been difficult during the last 6 years, to practice as one sees fit, to follow that path that is not that of the god of abraham.
Pressures have been so great that now, those who would practice the craft of the wise, are no longer participating in witchcraft. They find spell casting a fearful and threatening endeavor, few know of the roots of their practices, and they have lost the notion of seeing deity as primarily female in essence, with male as consort.
Our sterngth comes from the atmosphere we create, or the glamour we cast. any of our practices are scattered among non-devotees. Aromatherapy, NLP, Naturopathy and other such practices have been co-opted by those who are not necessarily entitled to the practices, outside of the fact that they have passed written tests and spent time in a classroom. They do not walk the path that gives these practices meaning.
This lens will focus on our practices and they will e called witchcraft here. Those of you who would join in this endeavor are more than welcomed!

Pagan Practices: Cartomancy
Tarot cards, Angel cards, any divination that uses cards as the tool for divination
Talking with a psychic is the ultimate taboo for some, and a family tradition for many. Less expensive than long term psychotherapy, the occasional reading can go a long way toward focusing on personal issues without your having to make a long term committment. He or she addresses issues of the soul or mind. They have spent time developing the innate ability to sense or feel the unseen, non-physical environment.A good psychic will not look or sound like a stage act during serious spiritual or relationship readings This is not mind reading, like guessing your dog's name. It is the conveyance of information with an eye toward helping the client gain understanding. The client's future is not set in stone just because the psychic senses an outcome. As soon as a client hears the reading it becomes relatively obsolete because the client has new information.
Usually associated with "Fortune Tellers", cartomancy is one of the most popular forms of divination right behind the daily Horoscope. Visually stimulating, emotionally evocative, and mysterious, Readers and Seekers use them to help with decisions, both simple and difficult. There are countless decks for users and expensive collector decks that are suitable for framing or display.
Cartomancy combines 3 psychic, or mental, triggers. The illustration, a key word, and a number will appear on the major arcana. The Minor Arcana will bear an illustration and number. There are many variations on this framework, though. I have seen decks created by for specific purposes, that might bear words with no illustrations, or a simple stick figure and nothing else. Those are usually created by the reader for themselves and only they know what the cards represent.
In recent years other sorts of divinatory cards have been created, such as angel cards, Bach flower cards....whatever the popular mysticism of the moment is. I am sure someone has come up with feng-shui cards, I just haven't seen them yet.
The 3 elements of a card serve as a framework illustrating the drives that affect the seeker's past, present, and future. There are those who do not include tarot readers in the "psychic reading" group, but one cannot use the cards effectively without some psychic ability. The cards still have to be interpreted with an inner eye towards that which cannot be seen. That would be...psychic.

- Excellent site. I am a wiccan since birth and i would suggest AROMATHERAPY & HERBALISM by author Rochelle Moore for beginners. The author shows, with respect, nature, the power of herbs, the power of flowers and essencial oils also, a few ancient recipies e.g, (potions etc). A great introduction
