Tip: Usagi receives her transformation brooch from Luna in the first episode and wears it constantly afterwards. Only omit it if you are specifically cosplaying Usagi before she knows she's Sailor Moon!





Usagi's uniform is a fairly standard Japanese school uniform. The skirt is knee-length and she wears a white slip underneath.

Costume necessities:

white crew socks
black shoes with criss-crossed scrap

Sailor Moon's boots are red knee-highs with a white stripe and crescent moon at the top.


The basic part of the costume is a white leotard.




The ends of Sailor Moon's gloves are red.

Princess Serenity wears a long white empire-waisted dress with scalloped sleeves, gold detail on the bodice, and a long bow in the back. She has 3 small circular barrettes in her hair, simple pearl earrings and has a crescent moon on her forehead. In some scenes she is shown with a detailed tiara atop her head.

The main changes are a white skirt with a yellow and blue stripe at the bottom, a heart locket in front of the skirt, a ribbon "tail" on the back, and translucent embellishments at the sleeves. There are white wing-like barrettes in her hair.

Eternal Sailor Moon has white angel wings, white boots with a red stripe and crescent moon at the top, a three-colored skirt, moon-star earrings, a heart-moon choker, wing-like embellishments on the end of her gloves and a red stripe with a crescent moon at her wrist. Instead of a tiara, she bears the crescent moon symbol on her forehead.

Usagi wears a new high school uniform in Sailor Moon Sailor Stars. It is a very dark blue with a blue bow and she wears her winged heart brooch on the front.

Standard yellow wigs with odango (meatballs) and long ponytails. This is the hairstyle most frequently worn by almost all versions of Sailor Moon. Add accessories for Super Sailor Moon and other versions. Bright yellow is the usual color, but there's nothing wrong with going for a more natural blonde if you want!
