Sailor Moon

Sailor Moon is the title of the famous series originally authored as a manga by Naoko Takeuchi that resulted in multiple other types of media, including anime (both an English and Japanese television series), musical theatre, video games and a live action television series.

Sailor Moon is also the title character that Usagi Tsukino transforms into. She also has identities of Princess Serenity, Neo Queen Serenity, Super Sailor Moon and Eternal Sailor Moon.

Usagi Tsukino

Sailor Moon is the alterego of a teenage girl, Usagi Tsukino. Usagi Tsukino translates to "Bunny on the moon"; The name bunny on the moon is from an Asian legend about a rabbit living on the moon who pounds a mochi (rice cake). Usagi is the reincarnated form of Princess Serenity of the Moon Kingdom. The name Serenity is a modification of the name of a Greek moon goddess called Selene. For this reason, her name is usually translated into Serena, although some mangas refer to her as Bunny for the aforementioned reasons.

In the second season, she discovers that she is the future Neo-Queen Serenity in the 30th century. She will marry Mamoru Chiba (Tuxedo Mask) and together they will give birth to Chibi-Usa. The third season involves the search for pure hearts. Through this quest, the Holy Grail is revealed and Sailor Moon now transforms into Super Sailor Moon. In the fifth season, Sailor Moon again upgrades and becomes Eternal Sailor Moon.
