Is Salehoo a Scam?

Here We Get Down and Dirty and Personal

Is Salehoo a scam? Can I make money using Salehoo? And, what is the difference between Salehoo, Doba, Simplx, Megagoods, Profit Big, and other big dropshipping sites that all charge some kind of fee? Are they scams, too?

The Salehoo scam question has caught the attention of almost anyone researching means of legitimate product sourcing for home business. The prospect of quick profits through dropshipping inventory provided by genuine wholesalers has taken on a life of its own in these questionable economic times. This life is on fire in the imaginations of those for whom the dream financial independence and personal freedom resides in the hope of low cost, debt free, online home-based self employment.

These are questions that people just like you and me are asking everyday and searching the Internet for answers to. One desparate soul wanted to know what his alternatives were. "If I don't join Salehoo," he asked, "where can I find wholesale and dropshippers?"

Underlying these questions, I sense a great desire for financial improvement, a deep yearning for independance. If you are one the growing numbers of people considering earning a living from home selling physical products or through online ecommerce, you've no doubt encountered online wholesale product directories such as Salehoo or World Wide Brands. If you are anything like me, you may have spent or be spending a great deal of time trying to figure out if this is legitimate or not.

Start Becoming Financially Independant Right Now

Naturally, you may be worried that Salehoo is a scam playing upon your desire for a better life. After all, you and many other people are striking out and trying to take matters into their own hands-your own hands-by learning how and where to find wholesale goods and how to market them profitably. Wholesale distributors and dropship wholesalers can play an important role in this plan. Knowing how and where to find low cost goods, closeout and liquidation inventory, and honest suppliers is a vital element to success.

Can Salehoo and the growing number of other sites similar to Salehoo help solve your questions about how to find honest product distributors? Perhaps more importantly, will you make money using Salehoo? Or is it all smoke and mirrors, a shell game, a cheap con played just to take your money?

To begin with, we need to understand what Salehoo is and what it is not. Salehoo is basically a directory of wholesale distributors, dropship wholesale suppliers, liquidation and closeout businesses, other product distributors, and a forum. The forum, to my way of thinking, may be its most valuable asset and where the real money is to be found in the membeship. This is because many people, both buyers and sellers of goods, participate, and everyone shares product information and opinions about the integrity and usefulness of suppliers. It is the place where you can make real on the spot deals and contacts. Salehoo also claims to check out each of the suppliers it lists and requires suppliers to apply for permission to be listed. Salehoo members are allowed to rate the directory sources, discuss them on the forum, and even complain about them to management. In fact, I just found out a short while ago that eBay powersellers have been invited to rate the suppliers listed in the directory.

Just for review, Salehoo does little more than publish contact information to suppliers. That is, it provides the names and the means to find out about product distributors, what they sell and for how much. Many of the sources are wholesalers and dropshippers. Not all of the sources are wholesale businesses or dropshippers. There are other kinds of businesses that sell low cost goods that do not fall into the category of either wholesaler or dropshipper. Businesses selling liquidation and closeout stock would fall into that category. Most of the other legitimate business who sell below wholesale fall into that cateogory. Although, if you strike a deal and can buy directly from a manufacturer, you may be able to score a price deeply below wholesale if you can buy in bulk. This is the type of information that you can glean from the Salehoo list of suppliers and through networking with the membership.

So, where does the scam come into the picture?

It is important to keep in mind that Salehoo is not a supplier itself and does not stock inventory to sell. If you make the mistake of thinking that Salehoo is a supplier or somehow responsible for the products of the distributors listed in the directory, then you may feel that Salehoo is a scam.

If you find a source, it is ultimately up to you to decide whether or not you want to do business with it. However, let's say you do find a number of sources that look promising. You can then go to the forum and ask questions about the listings to other forum members. A little proactive caution will help you avoid mistakes that might in turn cause you feel that you have been scammed.

One other important point to keep in mind is that although Salehoo lists a great many suppliers--hundreds and hundreds, in fact, it can't possibly list every product distributor. If you should join and can't find anything you want to sell, that in itself does not make Salehoo a scam. If you decide you don't like it, you have 60 days to ask Clickbank for a refund, no questions asked.

So, can you make money using Salehoo? That is a tough question, because ultimately, it is up to you to answer. Whether or not you make money using Salehoo depends a lot on whether you have done your homework to identify a market need and the products to satisfy that need. The answer to the question of making money using Salehoo depends a lot on whether you have thought through a plan on how to sell and profit from your products. These are things that Salehoo can not do for you. In fact, if you think your business plan through well enough, you may discover that you have no need whatsoever for an online wholesale product directory. You may very well figure out what you need and where and how to get it without every requiring the services of an online directory.

I think that some people who make the mistake of believing that Salehoo membership alone will make them money may come to feel that Salehoo is a scam. Salehoo is not a click it rich overnight scheme.

Now, I know that many of you want to know about the difference between Salehoo and Doba and othe dropshipping businesses. Remember, Salehoo is a list of product sources. Doba and Profit Big, for example, are dropshipping companies that sell products at discount. Salehoo is a tool, like a hammer. You are the carpenter who may use the hammer. Doba is like a construction company who does most of the work for you. If you get confused on this point, you may fall into thinking that Salehoo is scam. Remember, it is just a tool, a sort of "telephone book" for people who need product sourcing.

Again, Is Salehoo A Scam?

Here is a reprint from www.salehoo-scam.com

"SaleHoo is a directory of wholesale suppliers and drop-shippers. It is a membership site where members pay a one-time fee for lifetime access to a regularly updated list of suppliers. Members are able to contact SaleHoo staff and chat with them online about any issues they might have, and if SaleHoo doesn't have a supplier for a certain product we will find one when a member makes a request. We have a lively forum where members are able to partner up with other members, and we frequently have suppliers jumping on the forum to offer special discounts to SaleHoo members.

Additionally, many suppliers set aside lots of products for SaleHoo members, so that members are able to purchase in smaller quantities than would typically be allowed, and we regularly purchase items from our suppliers to check the quality of both the product and service. The long and the short of it is we work hard to provide a really valuable service to our members, and we think we do a good job. If members disagree with us on this and believe they have indeed been "scammed" we are more than happy to refund their SaleHoo fee. SaleHoo has had a "no questions asked" money back policy since it started, and our people are instructed to act on these requests as soon as we receive them."

Salehoo Pricing Revealed

Is this online product sourcing directory for real?

Here is an important point that needs to be made clear--Salehoo is not a product supplier. Salehoo does not sell products. This is sometimes misunderstood and on occasion leads to allegations that Salehoo is a scam. Salehoo is primarily an online directory of wholesale, dropship, liquidation-closeout, and factory/manufacturer resources. Salehoo also provides a members only forum, training materials, and even help with market research. However, primarily it is a sort of vast rolodex of well over a thousand suppliers. I haven't counted. I believe the Salehoo site claims over 5000 suppliers in good standing. So, although Salehoo can help find products to sell online, Salehoo itself does not source the goods. It just shows you what doors to knock on, as it were.

Salehoo does make effort to see that the suppliers listed in the directory are legitimate and current, Salehoo itself, again, is not a wholesale or dropship supplier.

The only pricing issue, here, is the one-time, lifetime membership fee, currently $67.

As far as pricing of the product distributors listed on Salehoo . . . remember that there are over a thousand suppliers. Wholesale prices are the norm. The members themselves are like sharks when it come to low prices.

If you are especially interested in liquidation-closeout stock--where the real money is made on eBay--then you need to see this:

salehoo's special offer to Salehoo members

I confess that I am a member of Salehoo and feel that my word is worth something when it comes to vouching for the site. I personally feel it lives up to its word. However, where business is concerned, one size never, ever fits all, and so I cannot promise you that Salehoo meets all needs of all people all the time. That simply is not possible.

Should you spend the money to join? Well, I can't say. It doesn't cost much, but if it is a lot to you and you can't afford to lose it, then hang onto your money for your immediate needs! Personally, I value my membership. If your only concern is whether or not Salehoo is legitimate, then I would say, "fine, join." As far as I'm concerned, the issue of reliability and legitimacy is not even on the table.

If you are shopping around for a way to make money online and aren't sure whether you want to mess with physical products, then I'd advise holding off.

If you are pretty sure you'd like to do ecommerce, well, most people would consider $67 pocket change, and for pocket change, you are getting rock, solid value.
