Mastering Traffic To Your Website -- PART 1
Do It Like The Gurus
Mastering Traffic - PART 1
The reason most people make little or no money from their websites is simple: the majority of internet marketers try to bring in traffic by jumping from one traffic generation activity to another. They'll try PPC listings, solo mailing buys or make SEO changes. And, before even finishing with one technique, they'll move to the "latest" traffic tool they've heard about.
The Cheese
When you're trying to catch a mouse, you have to put out some choice bait (cheese). In marketing that is also true -- you have to have the right product. What is the right product? I've found that having your own online product to sell is the best way to go. Instead of making 10-50% on someone else's product, you can take 100% for yourself. After you have your own product, you have to ...
Build A Better Mousetrap
I've said that with your own product, you get 100% of the sales price, that is true. But you still need to get the traffic to you website to get sales. To do that, you have to build a mousetrap. Employing ONE traffic strategy that is proven to do the job will deliver even more traffic to your website, thus sales, than ever before. That ONE strategy is to create an affiliate program -- an army of sales people to drive traffic to your website, and sell more product.
That means sharing a percentage of your income -- remember you now get 100% from your products -- with your affiliates. Believe me, it will be worth it. They will generate the traffic (sales) for you. It's like having your own army of salespeople.
Why Start Your Own Affiliate Program?
What if instead of you trying to master various traffic generation strategies by yourself, you unleashed a pack of affiliates to do the driving for you? Starting an affiliate program is not as hard as you might think. Affiliate network websites such as Clickbank.com make it quite easy because you are going to give them the tools and information to be successful. What would you prefer to be an affiliate for someone that simply gave you an affiliate link and told you to go promote it, or someone that provided you with a great product and a great plan for success? Obviously the latter.

Mastering Traffic - PART 2
After starting your affiliate program, you can make it stand out from the crowd by offering to train your affiliates and give them a package of marketing materials. Those materials might include such things as PDF reports (that they can re-brand), articles, ads, banners, and more. You can even encourage your affiliates to buy those solo mailings in newsletters themselves to promote YOUR offer.Don't skimp in the area of providing sales materials to your affiliates. Just remember, the more money they make, the more profit you make!
Another way to make even more money is by finding your most determined affiliates and offer to personally train them. That will motivate them to spend more of their time and energy promoting your products. You'll also learn things about how well different techniques work by keeping in close contact with these affiliates. What is working for them and what isn't? Then pass that valuable intel onto your other affiliates.
Enroll more affiliates
When others notice how well your current affiliates are doing, they'll want to jump on the bandwagon too. That will increase cash flow exponentially and drive even more affiliates to your campaign. This is how you, your product, and your program reach critical mass.
Remember, create the product to sell, then get your team of affiliates together to promote (sell) it for you. That's the ONE traffic strategy that works.

What An Affiliate Manager Does
Why You Need An Affiliate Manager
What An Affiliate Manager Does
If your business has an affiliate program, having an affiliate manager is vital. Why? Because the affiliate manager looks after the affiliate operations and is responsible for producing traffic to your site. And, as you know, more traffic means more profit.What An Affiliate Manager Does:
The affiliate manager's job is to recruit new affiliates and manage the day-to-day aspects of your program.
An affiliate manager has 3 major tasks:
(1)Recruiting new affiliates,
(2)Motivating your affiliates to sell.
(3)Running your affiliate operations.
Below are examples of the things a good affiliate manager does:
* Creates collateral materials
* In charge of communications with affiliates
* Writes follow-up mailings
* Monitors incentive programs
* Administrative work (creating rebrandable files, etc.)
* Distributes content
* Comes up with blog content, even posts content
* Whatever else you need for your affiliate program

How To Find And Pay An Affiliate Manager
Finding One Can Be Easy
How To Find And Pay An Affiliate Manager
How To Recruit An Affiliate Manager:Probably the easiest way to enlist an affiliate manager is to post a public or private request in an affiliate forum. The people reading the forums are more likely to know what the duties entail than if you ran an ad in your local newspaper. Besides, your affiliate manager does not have to live in your home town; after all, this is an Internet enterprise.
Another way is to read through your favorite affiliate program forum to find a person. Look for someone who appears to have experience and/or knowledge in the affiliate process and send them a private message.
How To Pay Your Affiliate Manager
You can pay your affiliate manager a wage, by the hour, OR, even better would be to pay them a portion of the overall sales she brings in. That way it costs you nothing if she doesn't create any sales for you, but if she desires a lot of money, she's going to have to produce a lot of sales. Now that is incentive to do a good job!
An affiliate manager is a crucial role in your business if you want to make more revenue. Hiring one will not only create more business, but will allow you the time to come up with new ideas and products to help you grow. As Michael Gerber of E-Myth fame says, It'll give you time to "Work on your business, NOT in it". Sound advice.

How To Motivate Affiliates - PART 1
How To Motivate Affiliates - PART 1
You may have noticed that it is often difficult to get affiliates to market your products. If you ask them why, they'll come up with a lot of excuses. Let's face it, everyone has too much to do in this busy world. Everything else is competing with you for their time, and not just other affiliate programs.
Jimmy D. Brown, one of the top gurus on the Internet, uses some interesting techniques to get his affiliates to sell his products. Here are 3 that will help get your affiliates to start promoting immediately:
Give Them A Reason To Act Quickly And Give Them A Reason To Sell Now
First, give them a reason to do it now. You do that by establishing an event which includes a deadline. For example, you can do any of the following:
1. Create a product introduction.
2. Have a close out.
3. Hold a contest.
4. Have a special offering.
5. Proclaim limited supply of product.
6. Change your offer.
Doing all of these should create some excitement about your product. Just make sure that your offer is compelling so that they wouldn't want to miss out on it. This gives your affiliates a reason to act now.
Secondly, set a deadline or closing-date. This is what will motivate your folks to promote your products.

The E-Myth Seminar by Michael E. Gerber
Eighty percent of all businesses fail in their first five years! When you are facing down those kind of odds, you'd better know exactly what you are doing before you take the plunge. Success lies in the system! Gerber knows that for a business to be prosperous it must function like a powerful machine. The type of business is irrelevant - a precise system of dynamic interplay between the connected parts should be in place. The well-planned system will, once started, chug along continually and pre...0 points

How To Motivate Affiliates - PART 2
Make It Easy For Them
The third thing you need to do is to give your affiliates all of the information they need to sell products. You do that by providing them everything they need to promote your product.
Some of the collateral you can offer to help your affiliates be successful, are:
1. Advertisements for your product.
2. Banner ads.
3. Text ads.
4. Product Testimonials.
You want to make it a no-brainer system that they can put up in a few hours. If they have to do a lot of work, they will put it off. If a competitor offers them an easier way to get started selling their products, then they will sell those instead of yours.
So always keep in mind that you want to make it as simple as possible for them to sell your products to their customers. The easier you make it for them, the faster they will promote your product.
Conclusion
Remember, provide your team offers that motivate them to action and set a cut-off date to motivate them to do something immediately. Then provide them with the collateral they need to do the job.
If you do these 3 things, you will indeed have more sales because your affiliates will sell more and become more successful. And, the more they sell, the more they will promote your products. All of that will translate into you being more successful as well.
