How To Cook Salmon On The Grill
The best flame to cook salmon steaks on the grill is a medium high flame. To prepare the steaks for the grill you may want to consider marinating your steaks first in a blend of olive oil, butter, Tabasco, lemon juice, liquid smoke and chopped garlic. Allow salmon steaks to soak in the marinade for about forty-five minutes and then remove salmon steaks from spice bath; reserve about a cup for basting.
With your grill hot and your flame at the desired level you can now begin grilling the salmon. Place the thickest and biggest salmon steaks on the bottom but not within direct heat and the thinner steaks at the top and furthest away from the flame. You will want to cook each steak about six to eight minutes depending on the thickness of the steak.
As with any other meal the side dishes compliment the main entrée, so when cooking salmon consider a wild rice pilaf, honey gingered baby carrots, and perhaps a nice colorful mix of fresh garden vegetables. Serve this to your family and friends ad impress them with you new found culinary talents! Every great meal calls for a spectacular dessert.

- I found it super important to spray the grill before turning it on, before fish goes on the grill so that it doesn't stick. I've forgotten this too many times.
