Salmon smoking is EASY!

Would you like some delicious, mouth-watering hot smoked salmon?

Here in the UK, we love our smoked salmon. It's a number one canape served on our christmas table, office parties and family gatherings.

It is yummy but it is also quite costly and is considered a delicatecy.

For years I dreamt of learning how to smoke salmon myself. However,every single recipe or idea I'd come across always entailed purchasing expensive equipment or method or whatever.

If you are in the same situation, well, search no more!

I have discovered how to make delicious smoked salmon in the comfort of your own home using no fancy expensive smoker but a charcoal grill !

Salmon comes out sweet,smokey and so much more flavoursome than your typical smoked salmon from a supermarket shelf. It's perfect as a starter or a main course, whatever the occasion.

We usually do few batches and freeze them.

Ooo, writing this made me crave it again. Better tell hubby to put the grill on :)

Hot smoked salmon pasta recipe

Quick, easy and delicious!

Ingredients

pasta (I prefer fusilli)
few hot smoked salmon fillets
spinach
sage (or your favourite herb)
a couple of tomatos, chopped
a couple of tablespoons of sour creme
lemon wedges, to serve

1.Cook the pasta. Meanwhile, remove the skin from the salmon and discard. Flake the salmon.
2.Drain the pasta Return the empty pan to the heat and add olive oil, spinach and sage. Stir-fry for 1 minute, until the spinach is just beginning to wilt.
3.Return the pasta to the pan and stir, then add the salmon, tomatos and sour creme. Stir to combine and season. Cook for a further minute to heat through. Serve hot, with lemon wedges to squeeze over
