Jesus Christ and Salvation

It seems that in this day and age, God and the church is slipping further and further away from the people who grew up "knowing" God. As we grow older, lets say from child to teen, we begin to form a type of independence that often times rejects the idea that our God is a loving God. We no longer view the world through rose-colored glasses, but with skepticism and disbelief. We brush off all those childhood fantasies of being safe and realize that the world around us is a very cruel place. Do you know why it is such a cruel place? It is because God has allowed Satan to run rampant on the earth.

Here is what the Bible says about Satan in Ezekiel 23:12-19:

12 "Son of man, sing this funeral song for the king of Tyre [meaning Satan]. Give him this message from the Sovereign Lord:
"You were the model of perfection, full of wisdom and exquisite in beauty.
13 You were in Eden, the garden of God. Your clothing was adorned with every precious stone - red carnelian, pale-green peridot, white moonstone, blue-green beryl, onyx, green jasper, blue lapis lazuli, turquoise, and emerald- all beautifully crafted for you and set in the finest gold. They were given to you on the day you were created.
14 I ordained and anointed you as the mighty angelic guardian. You had access to the holy mountain of God and walked among the stones of fire.
15 "You were blameless in all you did from the day you were created until the day evil was found in you.
16 Your rich commerce led you to violence, and you sinned. So I banished you in disgrace from the mountain of God. I expelled you, O mighty guardian, from your place among the stones of fire.
17 Your heart was filled with pride because of all your beauty. Your wisdom was corrupted by your love of splendor. So I threw you to the ground and exposed you to the curious gaze of kings.
18 You defiled your sanctuaries with your many sins and your dishonest trade. So I brought fire out from within you, and it consumed you. I reduced you to ashes on the ground in the sight of all who were watching.
19 All who knew you are appalled at your fate. You have come to a terrible end, and you will exist no more."

You see, Satan was a beautiful creature in Heaven before God tossed him and his angels out of the Heavenlies. Besides corrupting the minds of men & women, Satan also corrupts the minds of our youth through music. Have you ever noticed that there is so much evil, violent and sadistic music being listened to by our youth these days? The youth of this world are extremely vulnerable, and easy prey to Satan. What better way to get to these vulnerable souls, but through music - something that most young people love and would have a hard time doing without. If possible, the youth should be guided to better listening choices such as Contemporary Christian Music.

So anyway, like I asked before, "Is your heart ready for Jesus"? Do you have a small still voice inside of you, telling you that the world is wrong and that maybe, just maybe there is something bigger going on here? That it is time to give up your fleshly desires and turn toward something that is good and pure? If you are feeling these things, your heart is being prepared by God for what He will soon have in store for you.

In the Old Testament of the Bible in Jeremiah 29:11-13 it says this:
11 "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart."

Next time you hear that small, yet peaceful and calm voice - stop what you are doing and listen. You just might hear God if you try hard enough!

THE SINNER'S PRAYER (Also Referred to as the Salvation Prayer or Prayer of Salvation)

Regarding the location of the Sinner's Prayer in the Bible? Well, there isn't one mentioned; it is only implied. The basis of the Sinner's Prayer comes from Romans 10:9-10. That "9 If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved."

THE SINNER'S PRAYER
Dear God in heaven, I come to you in the name of Jesus. I acknowledge to You that I am a sinner, and I am sorry for my sins and the life that I have lived; I need your forgiveness.

I believe that your only begotten Son Jesus Christ shed His precious blood on the cross at Calvary and died for my sins, and I am now willing to turn from my sin.

You said in Your Holy Word, Romans 10:9 that if we confess the Lord our God and believe in our hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead, we shall be saved.

Right now I confess Jesus as the Lord of my soul. With my heart, I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead. This very moment I accept Jesus Christ as my own personal Savior and according to His Word, right now I am saved.

Thank you Jesus for your unlimited grace which has saved me from my sins. I thank you Jesus that your grace never leads to license, but rather it always leads to repentance. Therefore Lord Jesus transform my life so that I may bring glory and honor to you alone and not to myself.

Thank you Jesus for dying for me and giving me eternal life.
