Samuel Brent Oscar Riegel was born on October 9, 1976 in Washington, US. He is a voice actor for many animes, video games and cartoons, and also a writer and a director. He began as a child actor in theater in Virginia, and moved to New York City to perform in Broadway shows. After college at UVA in Charlottesville, he returned to New York to begin his voice acting career. Sam Riegel now resides in Los Angeles. He is also known under the aliases Sam Regal, Sam Brent Regal, or Jack Lingo. He has two sisters, Eden Riegel who is an actress, and Tatiana Riegel who is a film editor.
Sam Riegel has several important roles in dubs of popular animes, including Shirou Emiya from Fate/Stay Night, Faust VIII from the Shaman King, and Clovis La Britannia from Code Geass; he has also voiced Donatello from the popular kids cartoon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. About Fate/Stay Night
One night Shirou stays late at school and stumbles upon two Servants, an Archer and a Lancer, doing battle. He is assaulted by Lancer to keep the war for Holy Grail a secret, but surprisingly is healed by Archer's Master. When he comes home he is attacked for the second time, and just when Lancer is about to deliver the finishing blow, a mysterious woman in plate armor defends him and asks if he is her Master. It seems Shirou himself is going to have to join the battle, however unwillingly...
