Sleek and slim style- The Samsung CLX 2160N printer is undoubtedly slim and sleek, boasting with super compact dimensions of 16x14x13 inches and a rather bulky 37 Pounds. Measurements like these make the printer the smallest multi-function in the world. However affordability is not compromised by this space saver with a great retail price of approximately US$380.00. The printer is ideal for environment where space is very limited and only a small footprint will suffice.
Print quality- Print quality is really not good at all. Text is printed in chunky and thick characters with jagged edges. Photo print quality is plain terrible with a fuzzy appearance to images and a serious lack detail. Smearing is also common in terms of text over colour printing. The only real wow factor to printing is the vibrant ink colours and quality at 2400x600 dpi. Quality toner in vibrant shades doesn't say much when actual print quality is so poor. Photo prints are produced at 4 ppm and text or graphics prints at 16 ppm. Warm-up time is almost non-existing with first page text printing under 18 seconds and colour 26 seconds. Copying is a task quickly and painlessly completed by this multi-function device at 16 pages per minute in mono and 4 pages per minute colour. Unfortunately, photo copies resemble cartoon images
Media sizes and types- The printer accepts all well known paper types such as plain, glossy, recycled and pre-punched paper, envelopes and cards. The maximum media size compatible with the machine is legal size. A major disadvantage to the printer is it's very low capacity paper tray of 150 sheet, which requires regular re-loading. If you are not keen on regular loading, rather go for another make or model printer.
Operator compatibility- All well-known operators such as Apple Macintosh, Windows and Linux are compatible with the printer.
