Samsung LN46A650 46-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV Review

A 46-inch star

Samsung LN46A650 is THE best selling 46-inch HDTV this season. That's a fact! Those who buy this LCD are mostly people who have been researching for months. Once they're done with the research they come to the conclusion : "This is it, this is the HDTV that I want!" Not too big, not too small. Samsung LN46A650 is just right...

Pros:
* Jaw-dropping picture quality. Try watching a Blu-ray movie on this set and you will understand what I mean. Incredible details, super rich colors and deep blacks. Even in the standard settings the picture is awesome.
* HD channels looks great.
* Light (49.2 pounds). You can easily move it around on your own without breaking your back.
* The red frame is subtle, cool and really adds a nice touch.
* 120-hz refresh rate is great for watching fast action scenes and PS3 games too.
* 4 HDMI inputs. Very useful when you have separate HDMI components.
* Even with it's glossy screen there's no problem with glare and reflections in a light-abundant room.
* Good sound quality thanks to TruSurround feature. It can really improve the sound quality if you only use two speaker systems.

Cons:
* Poor remote control design. No big deal unless you collect remote controls as a hobby.
* No composite video or S-video port on the back.

Samsung LN40B550 40-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV with Red Touch of Color

If you're still undecided between LN40B550 and LN40A550 just pick this brand new LN40B550. It looks better, lighter and if you've seen the price it's unbelievable bargain for a high quality 1080p LCD HDTV.

Pros:
- Easy to set up even if you don't read the manual.
- Clear and crisp picture.
- The on-screen menus are easy to play with.
- Faster 6ms response time opposed to the previous model which was only 8ms (which means fast action movies look more fluid).
- Viewing angle is really wide. The picture is still good even when you're watching from the sides.
- Plenty of connections (4 HDMI, 2 Component, 1 Composite A/V, 1 USB1, 1 PC input, 1 Optical Digital audio output)
- 70,000:1 Contrast ratio which makes black colors look totally black and whites look white.
- Very useful swivel stand.
- The remote has backlight.
- Not so heavy.

Cons:
- Good audio quality but a little weak.
- The red touch of color is too subtle. Samsung might as well get rid of it.
- No S-Video port.
- The Game Mode doesn't make games look better.
- In bright room glare is still visible.

Samsung LN52B750 52-Inch 1080p 240 Hz LCD HDTV Review

Pros:
- Amazing picture quality and color contrast that makes your jaw drop. You really gotta see it with your own pair of eyes.
- Response time is super fast; 2 ms. Makes the picture sharp with no artifacts during fast scenes.
- Very low power for a TV this big; only 180 Watts.
- Picture in Picture (PiP) feature that actually works well.
- Excellent Price tag. For less than $2000 you get a 52-inch lcd with free shipping included.
- Very useful swivelling stand
- No overheat problem. So when you're stuck in your house and got nothing better to do other than watching tv you can be sure this tv won't burn your house down.
- Lots of connections.
- PS3 and Xbox360 games look amazing on this set.

Cons:
- Dynamic Contrast and Edge Enhancement are useless features. They actually decrease the picture quality so you may want turn those two off.
- So so audio quality. Perhaps Samsung already knows that most people who buy this hdtv will hook it up to a stereo system.

Samsung LN52A650 52-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV Review

It's hard to find a bad point for this tv. It's huge, it delivers super clear images and a whole lot more. It really shows how Samsung put a lot of effort making this lcd tv. Samsung LN52A650 52-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV with Red Touch of Color is truly a masterpiece

Customer Review #1
This TV is fantastic. Clear crisp picture makes you feel like you are there. Even non-blue ray dvd was much improved over regular tv picture. Was a little hesitant to buy such an expensive product from Amazon, but the price was several hundred dollars less than Best Buy and we also saved by not paying for shipping, delivery, or tax. TV was delivered in about 8 days. They brought it in, took it out of the box, and set it up with the satellite to make sure it worked. Overall, the TV was a great value and buying it from Amazon was a pleasure. Also, if you have DirectTV, don't buy the expensive HDMI cable; when they came to install the HD satellit dish, they brought all the cables needed. I will now return the $80 HDMI connection I bought. The only regret is that (hard to believe) this 52" TV is actually a little small for our large room (about 20' x 20').

Customer Review #2
I'm no techno wizard just a guy wanting an exceptional picture from his TV.I've had Samsung LN52A650 LCD HDTV for about three months and I continue to be astonished with its performance. The clarity and especially the color contrasts are remarkable. I find myself watching HD programs I wouldn't have been interested in before but with the LN52A650 and HD the dynamics have greatly changed. I haven't experienced any technical glitches to date. Prior to buying I was worried about purchasing a large and expensive item via the internet yet this TV was worth every penny and dealing with Amazon was very satisfactory.

Samsung LN52A750 52-Inch 1080p DLNA LCD HDTV Review

I'll try to go through some of the positives and negatives (there are so few!) about Samsung LN52A750 52-Inch 1080p DLNA LCD HDTV :

Picture
Totally awesome. I'm not going to say that this tv has the best picture out there, but it just so cool to watch. I try to always find something on the HD channels to watch before I go to the regular channels. But even the 720p channels are pretty good. I did calibrate the TV with the internet's help (before you spend the money on a professional or calibration CD try doing a search for Samsung ln52a750 calibration...you'll find a lot of instruction on this). I haven't tried blu-ray yet, but unconverted DVD looks awesome.

Sound
People have said the sound isn't so great..i think it's not bad. I hooked up an HDMI from my cable box to the TV and the sound hasn't been disappointing. If you have a sound system this shouldn't be a concern (the TV has an optical audio out...so you can hook up everything to the TV and output the sound to your sound system). If you don't have a sound system. I don't think you'll be upset by the quality (just my opinion).

Appearance
This is a very nice looking set. It looks great in my apartment. As for the TOC, it does not bother me or any of my friends that have seen it. I don't even think I would have noticed it if it wasn't mentioned in reviews often. The TV does produce a glare, but next time you go to a local electronics store to look at TVs notice that most of them have a glare! Once the TV is on and you're watching anything, the glare becomes a non-issue.

USB port
Pretty cool. I hooked my USB up to this which contained some JPEGs. The pictures looked great. This is just a cool concept...the fact that you can drag some pics onto a jump drive and look at them on your 52 inch TV. Also, you can buy the wireless infolink USB which you plug into the port and get wireless news and weather.

Interactive Content
This is completely not necessary, but pretty cool. The TV comes preloaded with a lot of artwork, recipes, and stuff for kids. You just click on a but on the remote and can chose one of the categories you'd like to see. I can see that the artwork feature would be nice if you were having a party and wanted some background music and pictures. But this is a little extra.

Games
I have the Wii hooked up to the unit and it looks great. The max resolution for the wii is 480p so don't expect HD viewing, but it's just fun to play on such a large screen with a great picture.

As Computer monitor
Relatively good quality. It is quite easy to hook up my laptop to the TV with appropriate cable. This was an important issue for me as I can know watch Netflix movies from my laptop on the TV. The quality is pretty good (will not be near HD, but nice to know that you have this option)

Remote
This is probably the worst thing about the TV. The setup is not user friendly. The wheel that many have mentioned does not always work well. But it's such a small thing. I don't really use the remote except to turn the tv on and off and change the source. The interactive content is accesible by the remote as well.

Compared to Samsung LN52A650
The 750 does not swivel, whereas the 650. I've seen the picture quality on both and they are similar. I did however like the look of the 750 much better (just has a nicer appearance, it's width is slightly bigger because of a thicker frame). Otherwise the two are almost the same...so it's up to your preference.

I would definitely recommend this model to everyone who is looking for an exceptional tv. Samsung LN52A750 is easy to fall in love to.

Samsung LNT4065F 40-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV Review

Totally a must have!

If you're struggling to decide which 40 inch lcd tv you're going to buy you don't need to hesitate anymore. Just get a Samsung LNT4065F 40-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV and you won't be disappointed.

This lcd tv boast a 15000:1 contrast ratio which means blacks look like black instead of dark grey, whites are white instead of bluish and all other colors are as crisp as they can get. The LNT4065F could display finer gradients of shading making for more detail in darker scenes. The video processing capability ensure smoother motion in fast moving scenes.

Great For SD, Fantastic For HD
When you use it to watch Standard Definition programs they look surprisingly good. However this is a Full HD LCD TV so for fantastic result you should get High Definition contents (like from HD channel and HD-DVD). You'll be amazed to see the details. The baseball and football games (and any other sports for what matters) will never look the same when you watch them in high definition. Just remember to share that experience with your friends and families

Great for games
Whether you're a fanatic gamer or just a person who play games once a week this lcd tv is the tv for the job. Your PS3, Wii and Xbox 360 games will look simply fantastic in 1080p mode! Expect crystal clear game display plus fast and flawless motion with the 1080p HDMI 1.3. Your PS2 games will look better too thanks to the 1080p upconverting from your PS3 console.

Makes An Excellent PC Monitor Too
Best computer monitor experience I have ever had bar none. Black levels not quite as good as the 19" trinitrons I recently donated to goodwill. But in every other way, unbelievable. Digital photographs are miraculous.

Is it all that good?
Well, like any other man-made objects this tv also has some flaws to minor. They don't do much "damage" to the overall quality of this lcd tv but you should know anyway :

1. Minor clouding, and that means very minor clouding
2. Glossy screen can be a distracting "feature" for some though again it's not much.
3. Minor shadow lost during transitions from dark shadows to pitch black.
4. Though the internal audio quality is very good it is still 2 channel audio. However, there is a digital optical out for connecting to a surround sound system .

In the end you cant go wrong with this TV! It just won't let you down.

Small is beautiful. This is true for Samsung LN32A550 32-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV
And here are some of it's strong points :
Pros:
* Full HD (1080p). More details and a better picture. HD contents look fantastic. Standard channels looks great.
* Great Price.
* Customizable input so you can use one video setting for each device you've plugged in.
* User friendly interface.
* Well laid out remote control with backlight and shortcuts.
* Easy setup.
* The blacks look exactly black. Great colors too.
* Picture in Picture feature.
* Headphone port

* DLNA-Compatible. Better interoperability with electronics, computers and mobile devices from many different manufacturers
* Fast 5ms response time. Reduces motion blur and judder especially during fast scenes.

Cons:
* The audio quality can be improved. Some people feel the tiny on-board speakers just can't scream loud enough
* Picture in Picture (PiP) is only for TV tuner/cable and other sources, not on PC source and HDMI at the same time nor between HDMI's (ie HDMI1 and HDMI2, HDMI1 and HDMI3, etc)
* Power button is located on the side instead of on the front.
* For some people 3 HDMI ports are not enough (though 3 ports are actually common on other brands too)

3. It IS A Great HDTV
My wife was making herself clear that I mustn't waste a single dime on a crappy LCD so I spent weeks researching for the right one instead of buying on a whim and end up with a piece of junk. However, when I discovered Samsung and understanding all the pros and cons of this model I knew that it's the right choice. And now after the TV is sitting in our living room and after dozens of Blu-ray movies my wife clearly sees that it IS the right choice. In short, my wife and I wanted an LCD HDTV that gives the best bang for our hard-earned buck and we're glad we finally found it.
