Samurai Stealth Cloaker is essentially a cloaking script which can be installed and managed on any domain name. It can be setup very quickly, requiring only a few adjustments with your server's 'chmod' - this can be done via the website C Panel or via any basic ftp software. The Cloaking software is then accessed via the domain you installed the 'php' affiliate script on.

Types of Cloaking Methods:

1. Simple Redirect
   This conceals the fact that the link is actually an affiliate link from the visitor prior to being clicked. This means that the visitor will not know the destination URL (or raw affiliate link) until after clicking the URL and arriving at the destination page.
   
   This is the easiest and the weakest at the same time.
   
   A separate HTML page is created with a META and javascript redirect that sends the visitor immediately to the destination page.



2. Masked Frame
   This takes it to a further level and makes use of a masked frame (hidden frame) to conceal the eventual destination. The hidden frame is a simple redirect, but it is concealed in a frame to give the effect that the visitor is still on the same website.
   
   This is better in that it protects the affiliate link as in a simple redirect, but also hides the destination address too.



3. Stealth
   Normally, once you have sent the visitor through the affiliate link, you have no control over them any more and have sent them into the merchant's hands (which in most cases is a good thing but in some cases it may be bad thing depending on factors).
   
   With stealth cloaking you can send them through the affiliate link, but also keep control over them so you can send them to your own sales copy page, or send them directly to the merchant payment page, or to an optin-page - all after sending them through your cloaked affiliate link. This is quite a nifty feature and it allows you to do some real creative things such as:
   
   
   • promote really good products (that have rubbish sales pages) using your own much better sales page
   
   
   • build your own list instead of the merchants
   
   
   • presell via autoresponder and eventually send the visitor DIRECTLY to the sales page, totally bypassing the merchant page altogether

So there is a lot more to cloaking than the simple redirect or masked frame, and there can be some real creative ways to use "stealth cloaking".
