Top-10 Best Things to Do in San Francisco

We've checked them out - so you don't waste your vacation time...

We've found the best things for you to do on your vacation to San Francisco - check 'em out!

  1. Alcatraz - San Francisco's Number One Attraction hands-down. We filter out the b.s. so you don't get scammed in the various tourist traps leading up to your amazing boat ride to the prison island. Alcatraz Island Boat Tours

  2. Golden Gate Bridge - The Golden Gate Bridge is an American icon of entry to the United States from the Pacific. There's cool ways to visit it and combine with trips to the beautiful nature of Marin County.

  3. Napa Valley Wine Country - The perfect day trip. Sip wine and enjoy the countryside's rolling hills. Each season brings new wines and helpful wine guides. Make sure to designate a driver - limousines for a large group to Napa can be a great value.

  4. Muir Woods Redwood Forest - Centuries old Redwood trees tower over you with easy paved hikes or more exciting ones for the adventurous. A great combination with the Golden Gate Bridge.

  5. San Francisco Hotels - You'll need a place to stay in San Francisco (it's illegal to sleep in your minivan!). We review great deals on quality hotels - our readers tell you what the hotel was REALLY like.

  6. Restaurant Reviews - San Francisco has the best restaurants in the United States, if not the world. We review the cool ones and find some deals if you're on a budget.

  7. Lombard - America's Crookedest Street - The photo says it all. A street so crooked it's wacky. People can debate whether they have a more crooked street - but it is a must see for your trip (and a quick one). No speeding down this street!

  8. Fisherman's Wharf Sucks. - We includes this one as a strong warning. Fisherman's Wharf is a tourist trap - plain & simple. Other than as a gateway to boat tours, it should be avoided at all costs. The sea lions pictured are the best thing about the wharf - they're on the side of the Pier 39 mall. After you see them, you'll realize you need to get out of this place... quickly.

  9. Check out America's BEST Waterfront Baseball - The San Francisco Giants may win or lose, but you're guaranteed a world-class experience at this amazing waterfront baseball stadium. You'll find tons of convenient parking and public transit around the stadium. Plus, there are very cool restaurants for partying before and after the game.

  10. Twin Peaks San Francisco - San Francisco's Twin Peaks will give you stunning 360 degree views of the city. It's a "hidden" attraction that too few visitors enjoy. Make sure to bring a very warm sweater and jacket - it's often windy.
