San Antonio Condos

After reading the MySA.com article and passing on the San Antonio condo information to you, I trekked through the city to actually look at some of the San Antonio condos properties.

There are two places that I fell in love with. The first San Antonio luxury condos development was Pinnacle at Oak Hills, which was mentioned as a new complex near the South Texas MedCenter. I parked near the sales center, and for the record the exterior does not do the interior of the residences justice. I felt like it was a typical apartment complex until I was taken on a tour and looked at one of the condos-they're incredible. I was very, very impressed, and if you're lucky, you will have a view of the Oak Hills Golf Course's third fairway. After a quick tour of the condo, I was taken to the clubhouse and pool area. My mouth dropped- you really need to see Pinnacle at Oak Hills.

Another property I checked out was Slate Creek at Westover Hills. Forget the noise and hustle, bustle of downtown because these San Antonio luxury homes (townhomes) are in west SA along the edge of the Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort. Stainless steel GE appliances, designer carpet and open floor plans seem to create the perfect living spaces at Slate Creek.

Growth in the San Antonio condos market can no longer be ignored. "There are about a dozen new and rehab projects downtown alone. Plus there's work being done along Broadway and there are even some new condos out at the South Texas Medical Center, such as the Pinnacle at Oak Hills."

Although the housing market continues to crash, it seems as though the San Antonio condos market is barely wavering. "According to SABOR, there were 62 condos and townhomes sold in February, a slight decline from the 69 sold in February 2007. The median sale price dipped from $100,600 in February 2007 to $98,600 last month; the average time on the market increased from 88 days to 92 days during the same time frame."

The market is still unstable and mortgage rates continue to remain low. This coupled with San Antonio's low cost of living, San Antonio condos are your prime choice. SA has a 10%-20% lower cost of living when compared with other Texas metros such as DFW, Houston and Austin. On top of this, San Antonio real estate is one of the few places to show appreciating home values for San Antonio luxury homes and condos. Even Travel and Leisure Magazine named San Antonio the "Most Affordable City."

A good, strong job market, low prices and the annual new homes sales rate barely dipping, San Antonio luxury condos and homes are still at the top of the market and considered incredible investments. If you're visiting San Antonio in April for the city's annual ten day celebration at Fiesta, you should certainly stop by The Broadway San Antonio's sales center to take a look at the 4 foot model or look for the sales team around Fiesta events.
