San Antonio Texas

Welcome to my all about San Antonio Texas lens. Well almost I think? As a native San Antonio resident I feel that many visitors miss the opportunity to find many of the hidden gems that most visitors miss. So.. the purpose of this lens is to give you some of the familiar and unfamiliar places to visit eat and sleep on your visit here.

This is an on going lens as I discover new areas within San Antonio so keep posted for further reviews and updates.

Just one last blurb before you begin to explore my lens is make sure you plan your trip around Fiesta. Much to see do and enjoy!

If downtown isnt your thing you can always go to the Poteet Festival 20 minutes outside of San Antonio Texas
Poteet Strawberrie Festival

San Antonio Sports

If you're a big sports fan there are many things to do in San Antonio. Look at some of the links and see if there are any sporting events that may peak your interest.
San Antonio Spurs
This is the official site of the San Antonio Spurs. You can buy the tickets online from the site. My advice if you don't like the traffic take the via bus park and ride. It cost about 5 dollars. You just park your car at the bus station. The bus takes you straight to the game and back. Worth the money instead of paying 8 dollars to park at the stadium.

Here is the link to via to get more information on park and ride.
via bus information
Missions Baseball
If basketball is not your sport not to worry. San Antonio has its own minor league where teams from around Texas play at the Nelson Wolff stadium. The best part is the tickets are cheap and run around 5 to 6 dollars.
San Antonio Stars
Come check out the WNBA with the San Antonio Stars.
San Antonio Rampage Hockey
If your not much of a basketball fan come and check out one of the hockey games. The tickets run about 13 dollars.

Best to go during the week before 2:30 pm to get the lunch special. On Sundays they have a dim sum special which is different platters for 2 or 3 dollars each. Its worth going if you have a large group to split the bill.
Los Barrios
If you watch the food network then you probably have seen Bobby Flays throw down against Los Barrios owners against their famous puffy taco. Sorry Bobby Flay your puffy taco has nothing on San Antonio.
