Who is Sandyspider
Have you seen a spider crawling around? Perhaps a creature that is a little unusual, offbeat or twisted. How about one with a gray body and a human face? If so, then you have seen a sandyspider; a strange but virtuous spider. She will not tangle you up in her web of deception. Nor spin you around and around with strands of her fine threaded silk. Even if it is only to help feed her little ones. No! There is no reason to be afraid. This spider won't even bite...MUCH!
Just what or who is a sandyspider? If you haven't guessed yet...that's me. This name came to be when I joined The SpiderWeb Marketing System and continued on when I found Squidoo to promote the SpiderWeb. In fact, my first seven lenses are about this subject. Since then, I have updated these lenses to a point. The SpiderWeb has changed. The founder closed it and is going in a different direction, continuing on with videos and information from some well known online professionals.
Shortly after joining Squidoo, July 2008, I was attacked by the giant squid. This Squid firmly wrapped its tentacles tightly around my gray body and forced me into writing more and more lenses about any subject that would pop into my mind. This deep-ocean dwelling creature is even responsible for my lack of sleep.
So who is sandyspider? I am married with a daughter who is in college. We have a dog, several fish and a newt. I have an engineering background. A year ago I found myself unemployed just like the growing number of Americans. Since then, I have been trying to make a living online. I am an affiliate marketer, own my ebook business, Ebook Tree Saver. Created a campaign site for my dog and his running mate. Embrace The Hill. They will be running for 2012. I have several blogs, which need TLC.
I am not an artist, but I am creative. I hope you agree while visiting My Zazzle Gallery or reading my lenses. This is my lensography - a collection of my lenses.

Multi-Page Lens Experiment

In Oct. 2009, this became part of Squidoo's new Multi-Page Experiment. This experiment divides long lenses into separate pages with tabs at the top and bottom of each page. This is an extremely long lens with 168 lenses featured. Lenses will continue to be added to My Squidoo Facebook Page and Plexography Could end up in the 500s.
Please check through all the tabs and let me know how well you like the look. Or prefer the old look. If you are not a Squidoo member, all my guestbooks are open for your comments. I would love to hear from you. If you have any questions about Squidoo, feel free to contact me. Above is a link to sign up as a member.
A suggestion was made to add a guestbook on each page from one lensmaster. This way you can give your opinion on each page.

Badges and What They Mean
These are just some of my badges.
In July 2009 I became a Giant Squid. Along with being a Giant Squid and beyond comes the stars. Squidoo lens Squidbadges explains this badge and stars as follows:
"Giant" badge: Giant Squids are distinguished by their exceptional skill for making top-notch lenses, and lots of them. Whenever you land on a Giant Squid's lens, you know the person behind it is passionate about the topic and is hard at work making the lens worthy of your time and attention. Giant Squids have 50 or more really great lenses, and they get quite a few perks for all their hard work. This is just one. Learn more about what it takes to be a Giant. Oct. 2009 update I became a Giant 100 Club member. Now the purple badge in the right hand corner has a "100" in the middle.
Gold stars: This shows that a particular page is a certified gold star lens, which means it's the best of its kind on Squidoo (or shows some serious potential for getting there.) When your lens gets a gold star, it also automatically gets a little LensRank boost. Not bad. For now, only Giant Squids can get gold stars on their lenses. But turn that frown upside down: All lensmasters are welcome to join the Giant Squid challenge and earn their way in!
Purple stars: Only a few purple stars are given out each week, to exceptional NEW lenses created by Giant Squids. Read all the goods and news about purple stars.
To my surprise...my recipe lens Garden Fresh Tomato Recipes earned my first purple star. Followed by Al's Hamburger Shop in Green Bay, Wisconsin
I wonder if my first recipe lens Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup would of taken a purple star if I had been a Giant Squid at the time that it was published. It is a recipe that I have had created from my head and finally written it down. We also created a video on how to make the soup. I think it is worth a LOTD.

100 Lenses
A Milestone - Now it is over 200
On Sept. 24, 2009 I published my 100th lens David Letterman - Top Ten List Once this was made I knew that I was on my way to the Giant 100 Club.
The other milestone was when I published my 50th lens My Dog Turned 50 on June 16, 2009. But then I wasn't as sure if I would make Giant Squid.

Update on trying to make the Giant 100 Club. I didn't plan on making it, but when the last week came with 6 more lenses to go, it still seemed far away. But I participated in a chat with the JJJs and that was all it took. This spider decided to pursue the last 6 lenses to reach 100. By time the deadline of Sept. 30, 2009 came around, I had 103 lenses and a few days prior sent my application in for Giant 100.
Now as you can see I am in the club.

I had intended to join this group at the beginning of June 2009. But couldn't make up my mine if I was ready to try for Giant Squid. By time I decided to go for it, I was a day late. Seriously!
This time around I was invited to join again for the Giant 100 (since I have made Giant Squidness.) At this point I thought I was too far away from achieving 100 lenses by Sept. 2009. But the fun was in the participation. As you can see above, I am in the Giant 100 Club.

Sort of With RocketMoms
June 5, 2009 I accepted the invitation to be part of 144 of the smartest women on the web, working together to make Squidoo lenses (and a whole lot more).The first part of this invitation was to join the RocketMoms ning group. In this network, we get to know one another, share our profile, join groups and discussions. This is where the assignments come from. My husband asked it I would be graded on this and if any credits would be involved.
Monday June 8, 2009, the 1st assignment of this 8 week course is handed down by bdkz, aka Bonnie Diczhazy from Squidoo. The assignment is to write "About Me" lens.
I have written many lenses with parts of my personal life in them and had planned on writing an "About Me" lens very soon. Now the decision has been handed down for me. It took a bit to get started, but I finally chose on this lensography to show off my lenses and yes...a bit about me.
Update...August 2009, I joined Session 3 of the RocketMoms as a part-timer, but ended up as a full-timer.
