Conservatory of Flowers flower clock photographed during my trip to San Francisco.
Gardeners and flower lovers will enjoy a visit to the San Francisco Conservatory of Flowers. This is our close look at the flower clock which is planted with different flowers each year. The conservatory houses orchids and other delicate plants.
Take time to walk through the Arboretum across the road from the Conservatory. There is a large pond with ducks and migratory birds. Both gardens have a lot of room for children to run and play. So, the whole family can enjoy the outdoor experience. Hint: if you are driving yourself, arrive as early in the day as possible. Parking on the street fills up early, especially on weekends and holidays.

Palace of the Legion of Honor in San Francisco, California, during my visit.
San Francisco can boast of many fine museums, but, none better than the Palace of the Legion of Honor that we photographed here. Auguste Rodin's famous statue "The Thinker" sits at the entrance as a preview of the magnificent art works inside the museum. The Palace of the Legion of Honor showcases paintings, sculpture, and even historic furniture and household items. This museum is well worth a visit.

- I lived in the Bay Area for 15 years, always one of my favorite spots. Excellent job highlighting it here. Tthe sound of San Francisco" video sure put an interesting twist on the city (embarrassed to admit that I really liked the video!).
