Sanjaya Malakar: A Star is Born

Whether you hate Sanjaya or love him, one thing's for sure.  We haven't heard or seen the last of him.  A 17 year old, with a contagious smile and an ability to bounce back in the face of adversity.  He will be around for some time, perhaps Bollywood or Hollywood.  Mark my words, we haven't seen the last of Sanjaya. 

There are people that are harsh and criticize this teen's ability.  Forgetting that some of the most successful entertainers are not real "vocalists" at all.  A 17 yr old that is competing in one of the most widely covered reality shows and he's still smiling....  You got to love him.  Through the criticisms, the insults, the downright cruel comments...he stands before America and entertains. 

Let's look at this a little closer.  Could Shakira hit Christina Aguilera's notes?  Could Alannis Morisette sing one of Mariah Carey's ballads?  Could Gwen Stefani hit Beyonce's notes?  Could Madonna sing Bette Midler's hits?  I think not.  Yet, they are all celebrities that have won awards for their contribution to the music world. 

 In the end, you can't make a square peg fit in a round hole. 

This is Sanjaya, the brave.  Perhaps he may not win the title of American Idol, but he will do what he was born to do.  Entertain!
