Notoginseng ready reckoner: All you need to know about this miracle herb

Panax Notoginseng or simply Notoginseng, also known as "San Qi" or "Tian Qi", is one of the most powerful and beneficial traditional Chinese medicine herbs known to humankind and is grown only in Yunnan province in China. I have created this lens to create awareness about the fascinating benefits of this miracle herb and also educate people about its differences from the other varieties of Ginseng family of herbs which belong to the same species "Panax" meaning "cure all".

"Kill these mockingbirds"

Benefits of Notoginseng

Go for the kill !!

Stroke

Stroke is often lethal and often paralysing. Its terrible after-effects linger for years. Notoginseng not only greatly reduces the risk of stroke but also enhances post-stroke recovery. People paralysed from Stroke have been known to show significant improvement within months of using this herb.

Heart diseases

Cardiac load, blood pressure, high cholesterol.

Notoginseng is perhaps unarguably the best herb for blood. It helps to improve blood flow through the coronary arteries, thus providing more blood to the heart. This helps to lower blood pressure, reduce cardiac load and improve micro-circulation in and around damaged heart tissues. Also, enhanced blood circulation means less-fatigue and more active body and mind.

Cancer

Notoginseng produces anti-carcinogenic elements which help combat several forms of cancer such as Prostate Cancer and Colorectal cancer. Please find below links to the research studies that conclude this herb's effect on combating cancer.

Bleeding

Bleeding (external and internal). Notoginseng is used to assist coagulation of blood and stop bleeding, both internal and external.

Internal bleeding includes nosebleeds and bloody stools and urine. Notoginseng has also been used in the United States for some years to control postpartum bleeding in women and heavy bleeding associated with menopause.

Notoginseng is also carried by armed forces to stop external bleeding. It was extensively used during Vietnam War to heal the wounds

Liver problems

Notoginseng helps prevent liver damage.

This is not the end. Notoginseng improves immunity power, exhibits anti-inflammatory and pain killing effects and enhances male fertility. No wonder that this is a wonder herb.

My own website http://www.sanqiginseng.com/ offers more information about Notoginseng, external research links and my product.

Notoginseng: Not the ordinary Ginseng

Distinguish Notoginseng from other varieties of Ginseng

"When a child asks you something, answer him, for goodness' sake. But don't make a production of it. Children are children, but they can spot an evasion quicker than adults, and evasion simply muddles 'em." - as spoken by the character Atticus in Harper Lee's famous novel To Kill a Mockingbird

I was muddled when I spotted evasions on my queries on Notoginseng, simply because not many people knew about it. They confused it with the other more famous varieties of Ginseng. So, I decided to unearth as much information about different varieties of Ginseng.

To give you some clue on what I am talking about, Ginseng is a family of herbs which has following varieties,
-> Panax Ginseng (also known as Chinese Ginseng, Korean Ginseng, Oriental Ginseng),
-> American Ginseng,
-> Panax Notoginseng (also known as San Qi, Tian Qi, Pseudoginseng) and
-> Siberian Ginseng

There is a lot of text available on Ginseng and unfortunately, people confuse Notoginseng with other forms of Ginseng. It is important to understand that Notoginseng belongs to the same species "Panax" as the ginseng family and offers more benefits besides the benefits of other types of Ginseng. That is why, Notoginseng is known as the King of the Ginseng.

In order to educate people about different forms of Ginseng and the differences between Notoginseng and the other forms of Ginseng, I have also created two blogs. Please visit them at http://sanqiginseng.blogspot.com/ or http://sanqiginseng.wordpress.com/.

The verdict is out on Notoginseng

My tryst with Notoginseng

My connection with this miracle root

Several centuries ago in China some Good Samaritan discovered a herb he named "San Qi" or 3-7 due to its peculiar structure of leaves and branches. It is also known as "Tian Qi". Its botanical name is Panax Notoginseng or simply Notoginseng.

Though this herb was initially used to stop bleeding, its other benefits have been studied over centuries. "San Qi" was first recorded in 1578 in the Compendium of Materia Medica by Li Shizen, and was described as more valuable than gold.

Being an Indian, i always had a penchant for herbal medicines. While studying MBA in Hong Kong, I came to know about Notoginseng through some Chinese friends and was blown away by its amazing benefits . Hence, for months I worked on reaching out to people in mainland China who could help me introduce this product to the world. Fortunately, my hard work paid off and I found access to Notoginseng farms who produce premium quality Notoginseng powder and Notoginseng extract using high technology extraction techniques.

Having personally met people who were significantly benefitted by this herb, I feel strongly about its benefits. It is a pity that despite so many people suffering from fatal and terrible health problems such as Stroke, cardiovascular diseases, blood pressure etc., this wonder herb has not been made available to them. Therefore, after finishing my studies, i decided to educate people about this herb and promote and market it to the world.
