Santa Letter Template

A Santa letter template is simply a document that already has a letter from Santa written on a fun background image. Depending on the service you use, the letter might be a Microsoft Word download, or it could be a letter to personalize through an online program and then print at home. Your job, as Santa's helper, is to add your child's name, age, hometown and other information to the letter. Depending on the type of service you use, you may also be able to add accomplishments or a personalized message. Santa already knows all these details, of course, but he's very busy this time of year, so he relies on parents, grandparents and other adults to help him complete his letters.

You can buy individual Santa letter templates or kits with a variety of templates, sign up for a service that allows you to create multiple letters, or get a trial membership that includes access to some Santa letter templates. Read on to learn more about the options.

If you don't need a full year's worth of letters from Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny, you can purchase a single Santa letter template from one of several sites offering Microsoft Word documents set up with letters from Santa that are ready for you to personalize and print at home. Simply choose a design you like, pay for the template, and you'll receive an email with the link to download your letter. Then all you have to do is look for the placeholders in the text that will say [NAME], [HOMETOWN], etc. Just highlight and replace this text with your own child's information and you're ready to print your letter!

This is a great option for someone looking for an inexpensive letter than can be used for more then one child and again in coming years. Once you buy the template, you can use it more than once, as long as you're not reselling it. But personal use is ok.

Simply choose one of several letters, add in your child's information (up to three different items), and then select and personalize the letterhead design you'd like. You can even create a "Good List" certificate and a matching envelope to go along with your Santa letter, and you can share your creation online with friends and family. If you have more than one child in your family or would like to send letters from the Easter Bunny, Cupid and others (such as the Tooth Fairy) that are promised soon, Instaletter is a good deal.

Santa North Pole Workshop offers a kit that contains 10 Santa letter templates, 2 different Nice List certificate designs, 2 envelope designs and some holiday bonuses (a coloring book, Christmas ebook and a template for an Easter Bunny letter).

Documents are saved as Microsoft Word for easy editing and come in a zipped file. You'll need to know how to use the unzip functionality of Windows Explorer or have a program such as WinZip to unzip the file so you can use these templates.

American Greetings offers ecards, as well as printable cards, invitations and other printed projects. They have two letter from Santa templates, one letter to Santa template and a doorhanger to leave a note for Santa.
