FORGETTING SARAH MARSHALL

Upon entering the theater, my girlfriend and I noticed an older couple probably in their mid to late sixties, sitting in the back of the theater, which lead us to believe that they themselves were in the wrong theater. Or wait a minute maybe we accidentally walked into the wrong door, but one step back out and there was the poster for Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Alright, maybe they meant to go into see Leather Heads with George Clooney and Renee Zellweger, that seems more their speed, this couldn't of possibly of been what they wanted to see this, Right? Not wanting to be rude and inconsiderate, or look like idiots we left them be. We just figured they would catch on soon enough and just get up and leave if this wasn't the movie they wanted to see. The movie just like its predecessors, The 40 Year Old Virgin & Knocked Up, delivers what it promises. Without trying to push how immature and disgusting they could be with it, they deliver a solid comedy that many adults can relate to on some basis. Yes it is raunchy in some parts and has adult humor, but that's why it is rated R, because it is for said ADULTS. I just emphasized that, because parents buy tickets for kids and then just leave them in the theater and without any parental control can make the moving going experience unpleasant for others. Or the kids get the movie (now in this case) and when the full frontal male nudity flashes on the screen the parents get mad and offended. Yes, there is full frontal nudity in this movie.

Anyway's back to the movie!
Obviously the movie is about Peter(Jason Segel) who's girlfriend, Sarah Marshall(Kristen Bell), just dumped him and in his every efforts tries to forget everything by ending up going to Hawaii. Surprise, Sarah is also in Hawaii at the same hotel with her new rocker boyfriend, Aldous Snow(Russell Brand). Enters, Rachel(Mila Kunis) a hotel employee that ends up helping Peter out by hooking him up with a bunch of freebies including staying in a suite for free. Peter and Rachel end up hanging out and seeing each other, all while he reflects on the negative things that his and Sarah's relationship had. Other common faces such as Paul Rudd, Jonah Hill and Bill Hader are common characters throughout the movie and all have their funny moments to help complete the package.

In all, Forgetting Sarah Marshall is a funny, laugh out loud movie that will not disappoint. With good actors and a good story of one man getting over his recent break up of a five year relationship, hilarity ensues with one of the better comedies I've seen and one of the best movies I've seen in a while. If you like 40 year old virgin, Super Bad, and Knocked up, Forgetting Sarah Marshall will be right on the same level. I have my own copy of this ridiculously funny movie.

You might be wondering about our "older couple", did they enjoy the movie. Well surprisingly the older couple sat through the entire movie and even more surprising they were laughing just as hard as everyone else. Guess it goes to show that when a movie is well written it doesn't have to offend or disgust anyone to try to be funny.
