Cupcake Emporium in Savannah, Georgia - a Review

A Nice Afternoon at Cupcake Emporium
They had a pretty good selection of cupcakes and we had a tough time deciding which two we were going to get. We just had a buffet lunch so we didn't have that much extra room. We finally decided on the key lime and red velvet (my wife loves red velvet cake).
The price was a little high I would say ($2 per cupcake), but since we were on vacation we didn't mind spending a little extra.
The cupcakes tasted pretty good. They were soft and moist, and quite flavorful. The frosting was a bit on the sweet side. Just a little too sweet for me. My wife has a sweet tooth and even she agreed that the frosting was sweet. But she enjoyed it nonetheless. Yes, she enjoyed it so much that she couldn't resist getting another cupcake on the way out!
This time she chose the banana cream. She loved this one too. I don't like bananas that much, so I just took one small bite of it and she ate the rest while we were walking around.
All in all, I liked the cupcakes, and the coffee was good too.
Cupcake Emporium - more than just a bakery
More about Cupcake Emporium in Savannah, Georgia
There were, I believe, 3 tables to sit at while you eat the cupcakes and chat. While I was sitting I saw a couple of witty quotes printed on the wall. One of them was, "I think men who have a pierced ear are better prepared for marriage. They've experienced pain and bought jewelry." by Rita Rudner (see the picture below). I really got a kick out of that one!
So, we had quite an enjoyable afternoon at Cupcake Emporium, a quaint cupcake bakery and gift shop in a quaint Southern town. I suggest you stop by there when you're in Savannah.

- I stop by every time I'm in Savannah! I love the classic mabel! It is some kind of vanilla that is so good! I wish I new what the ingredients were or what the flavor actually is but trust me its delicious! My roommate loves red velvet.. it is actually the only cake she will eat and she tasted the classic mabel and said it was amazing also! She does however love the red velvet also. My favorite cupcake by far!
