Cupcake Emporium in Savannah, Georgia - a Review

My wife and I were visiting Savannah, Georgia last fall, and we discovered Cupcake Emporium quite by chance. We were trying to find a place to park in the area and saw an empty spot right in front of the quaint little store. When we read "cupcake" on the glass window we just couldn't resist.

They had a pretty good selection of cupcakes and we had a tough time deciding which two we were going to get. We just had a buffet lunch so we didn't have that much extra room. We finally decided on the key lime and red velvet (my wife loves red velvet cake).

The price was a little high I would say ($2 per cupcake), but since we were on vacation we didn't mind spending a little extra.

The cupcakes tasted pretty good. They were soft and moist, and quite flavorful. The frosting was a bit on the sweet side. Just a little too sweet for me. My wife has a sweet tooth and even she agreed that the frosting was sweet. But she enjoyed it nonetheless. Yes, she enjoyed it so much that she couldn't resist getting another cupcake on the way out!

This time she chose the banana cream. She loved this one too. I don't like bananas that much, so I just took one small bite of it and she ate the rest while we were walking around.

All in all, I liked the cupcakes, and the coffee was good too.
