Save energy and water in your pool

Heatsavr is a biodegradable film which, when applied to your swimming pool, will cover the top of your pool, creating a barrier between the water and air. This barrier will greatly reduce the amount of evaporation in your pool as you can see in the picture above. The pictures were taken 15 minutes apart, after adding Heatsavr to the water.

Since Heatsavr is biodegradable, it will be added every day. The good news? It costs on average $10-12 per MONTH. It is an environmentally safe liquid, which breaks down within a 24 hour period. Even the EPA and FDA have labeled it safe for public use.

The wonderful thing about Heatsavr? It is so simple to use and as I said earlier, "A pool cover, no matter how thick, durable, or 'special' it is, does not work unless you use it."

You can choose to apply it manually, pouring it directly into the pool at about 1 fluid ounce for every 400 square feet of surface area. (A 20 x 40 rectangle pool is 800 square feet of surface area.) I recommend to do this each night, after you are through using the pool for the day; however, since the liquid is non-toxic and not harmful to people (FDA and EPA approved) you can add it at anytime, according to your convenience.

My preferred method, mostly because I like to "idiot proof" things, is to use the automated metering system. I like being able to set a timer, set the amount needed to be dispensed, and go about enjoying my pool. The set it and forget it theory does wonders in my home. (I am one of the husbands who carries a lot of "Round Tuit" buttons, but never uses them.... Sorry Honey)
