Well I am learning more and more about you with every visit. I love the way you tell the story of your relationship with your violin through the words and the pictures.

    SquidAngel Blessings for you.

I love my violin - my dad bought it for me in 1971 and it's one of the few times he really helped me in a way that mattered - and I make my living playing it - but if it burned up I would buy another. I think now that I'm 55 years old I would feel some sense of relief (along with much sorrow) if all my things were gone. I have an awful lot of stuff and too many memories. Fascinating lens.

Hear, Hear - my violin is my number one posession, as well! People laugh when I carry it into the grocery store and restaurants - if I have it with me while I'm out - I take it with me everywhere

The violin is such a beautiful instrument. My daughter plays on occasion, but has lately been living the happy-go-lucky life of a teen. Perhaps after college she will pick it up again. Thank God for your intuition!

    Kate,

I have no idea what a purple star means, but this is one fine lens! I am very appreciative that you were able to get home in time to avert any disaster. My love to you and you rhubby,

    Rebecca

Lovely lens, isn't it amazing how something 'tells us' when we need to be somewhere else. The same thing happened to us when my father in law passed away, we decided to go home early and so got the phone call (this was before we had mobile phones) and were able to get there in time to say our good byes.

I had no idea you played the violin. What a wonderful story you've shared here. 5* for sure!

So ... when do we get to come back and see a little YouTube of you playing something? **hint hint** That's the only thing I can think of that could enhance this perfectly balanced lens. Mega Kudos.

Great lens on a very difficult subject. I have been thinking about what I would save in the event of fire and it is a very thought provoking topic. Well done.
