Save On Oil
But now, there's a difference.
Oil prices are at a record high. Its a record high even among the previous highs reached by oil prices during the gulf war and other such events in oil producing countries. Its been above $100 per barrel for many months, and as of today, its hovering just below $150 per barrel!
Its pinching consumers all over the world, and especially the USA which is the biggest importer of foreign oil.
But what do we do? Switch to biofuel? Not that easy...Solar energy? Leaps to go in technology...Boycott oil? Move on to public transport? Yeah, if its feasible...
BUT, there's a way out of this oily mess for the average consumer...And you'll have to scroll down further on this lens to know about it!
Will We Ever Have Cheap Fuel?
cheap fuel

There's a saying that we have in economics. It's that you can make predictions, but never about the future.
The straight answer is that China, in particular, and India continue to grow quickly. This is going to continue to put upward pressure on prices.
The other thing is ... that the relationship between the U.S. and Iran remains uncertain in the near-term. That will continue to make prices volatile.
Of course other things can happen ... but to the extent that there's bad news in what's happening in the Middle East, that will continue to push up prices.
I see the prices (of gasoline and oil) remaining high.

Tips to Improve Gas Mileage
Increase fuel effeciency
Increase Fuel Efficiency | Increase Gas Mileage | Decrease Fuel Costs | Help the EnvironmentTry these tips to get more bang for your buck at the pump.
- Drive Sensibly
Aggressive driving (speeding, rapid acceleration and braking) wastes gas. It can lower your gas mileage by 33 percent at highway speeds and by 5 percent around town. Sensible driving is also safer for you and others, so you may save more than gas money. - Keep Your Car In Shape
Fixing a car that is noticeably out of tune or has failed an emissions test can improve its gas mileage by an average of 4 percent, though results vary based on the kind of repair and how well it is done.
Fixing a serious maintenance problem, such as a faulty oxygen sensor, can improve your mileage by as much as 40 percent. - Keep Tires Properly Inflated
You can improve your gas mileage by around 3.3 percent by keeping your tires inflated to the proper pressure. Under-inflated tires can lower gas mileage by 0.4 percent for every 1 psi drop in pressure of all four tires. Properly inflated tires are safer and last longer. - Planning and Combine Trips
Combining errands into one trip saves you time and money. Several short trips taken from a cold start can use twice as much fuel as a longer multipurpose trip covering the same distance when the engine is warm. Trip planning ensures that traveling is done when the engine is warmed-up and efficient. - Choose the Right Car
Selecting which vehicle to purchase is the most important fuel economy decision you'll make.
The difference between a car that gets 20 MPG and one that gets 30 MPG amounts to $930 per year (assuming 15,000 miles of driving annually and a fuel cost of $3.72).
That's $4,650 extra in fuel costs over five years!

Avoid keeping unnecessary items in your vehicle, especially heavy ones. An extra 100 pounds in your vehicle could reduce your MPG by up to 2%. The reduction is based on the percentage of extra weight relative to the vehicle's weight and affects smaller vehicles more than larger ones. - Convert Your Car/Truck to BURN WATER
Utilize the most abundant natural resource on earth, i.e. water...as fuel! No amount of the above gas-saving measures can save as much of your hard earned cash, simply because water is free! Learn the tricks here
