Update October 18th, 2007
I'm going to be offline for a month or more, dealing with my other child's father's court case out of state. The fight to find and retrieve Sarahbeth will continue, and I'll update again when I return.
God Bless all of you. I appreciate your support and efforts.

Semptember 8st, 2007 Court -Ordered Visitation -Jason REFUSES to bring Sarahbeth
He never showed up.
This is the fifth time in a row. Now Sarahbeth hasn't been seen in 30 days. :(

Sarahbeth's Mom reports...
WE HAVE A NEW JUDGE!!!!
'The Honorable David Dunlap'
I was in the county building, visiting a different office on something not even related to court, when I happened to check in with the clerk of court. She said that not only had we been assigned a new judge, but that he had scheduled our case for 'Case Review' in 20 minutes!
Apparently someone had told the clerk's office that I had moved away, so the court notices have not been getting to me. If I hadn't wandered in and asked, I would have missed the hearing completely. (Gee, I wonder what weasel would have 'updated' my address to a fake one??)
'Case Review' turned out to be some kind of getting-to-know-you session for the judge to meet us all in person, expect that neither Jason, nor his lawyer, showed up. All we accomplished was to confirm a date for my Motion to Vacate to be heard on September 11th.
Jason is still ordered to be at DFS to turn over Sarahbeth on Saturday (two days from now). I'll be there, of course, waiting hopefully as always for the safe return of Sarahbeth.

This is the fourth time in a row. Now Sarahbeth hasn't been seen in 23 days. :(
CRIMINAL CHARGES PENDING - Aug.25th, 2007
Now we wait to see what action they want to take on Sarahbeth's behalf.
August 25th, 2007 Court -Ordered Visitation -Jason REFUSES to bring Sarahbeth
He never showed up.
This is the third time in a row. Now Sarahbeth hasn't been seen in 16 days. :(
Results of court on August 20th, 2007
Sarahbeth's Mom reports...
Two Motions for Contempt (Jason failing to bring the child to visits), as well as a Motion to Set Aside the dreadful decision from August 9th were pending for this morning.
After a long wait for our turn in front of the Judge, Wiles simply bypassed making any attempt to help Sarahneth by recusing himself from the case.
Recusing means that he dumped the case without fixing the mess he's made of Baby Sarahbeth's life! Now we have to wait for a new Judge to be assigned. In the meanwhile, all the outstanding motions just sit unresolved. :(
Sarahbeth was not in court, nor was Jason. A friend of his emailed through the YouTube page to say that he plans to stay in hiding.
~Please pray that a new (and compassionate!) judge is assigned very soon.~

Motion filed by Sarahbeth's Mother on August 13th, 2007
Asking the Court to punish Jason for not bringing Sarahbeth to visitation with Mom on August 11th.
CIRCUIT DIVISION
In re the matter of:
SARAHBETH GRACE CORBETT,
JASON ALLEN ADOLPHSON, SUSAN ELIZABETH CORBETT,
Plaintiff, vs. Defendant.
with
DAVID DYKAS,
Intervenor.
Case No. 06AL-FC00533
MOTION TO SHOW CAUSE
My name is Susan Corbett, and under oath I state to the Court as follows:
THAT I want the other party (Adolphson) found in Contempt because that person has not complied with an order of the court.
THAT I am asking for the Court's help on the following subjects:
x Legal Custody Primary placement Secondary placement / visitation,
and
THAT I am the Respondent in this action and the Mother of the minor child Sarahbeth Grace Corbett, and
THAT the court order that talks about the issues I am concerned about is dated: August 9th, 2007, and
THAT the part of that order that is involved in my request says:
"Plaintiff is awarded Temporary Sole Legal and Physical Custody of the child Sarah Beth Grace Corbett (sic) subject to Restricted Visitation Rights of the Defendant. Defendant shall have visitation under the supervision of the Division of Family Services ... each Saturday from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.",
and
THAT I want the Court to:
1. Schedule a hearing to find Adolphson in Contempt for failing to supply the child to the ordered visitation on Saturday August 11th, 2007, and
2. Remedy the unworkable Order of August 9th, 2007, by setting it aside, and
3. Return the child to the custody of Corbett,
and
1. On August 9th, 2007, Adolphson received a Certified copy of the Court's instruction to provided the child for visitation, and
2. Adolphson demonstrated receipt and understanding of the Order by acting immediately on the portion the he found to favor him, and
3. At the first opportunity(August 11th, 2007), Adolphson FAILED to provide the child for visitation at the appointed time, or at any time thereafter, and
4. Adolphson has made public statement of his intent to refuse to allow Corbett to ever see the child again, and
5. Adolphson's decision to defy the Court's Order was deliberate, willful, involved malice, and was done with the intention to cause harm and distress upon both Corbett and her minor child,
and
WHEREFORE Corbett requests that the Court order Adolphson to show cause, if any exists, why he should not be found in Contempt of Court and punished in such manner as the Court finds appropriate for his actions, AND the the Court remedy the unworkable Order of August 9th, 2007, by setting it aside, AND that the Court return the child to the custody of Corbett, AND take whatever further actions the Court finds appropriate in the circumstances.

August 11th, 2007 Court -Ordered Visitation -Jason REFUSES to bring Sarahbeth
He never showed up.
Results of Court on August 10, 2007
Sarahbeth's Mom reports...
Judge Wiles called us up, and pointed out that the GAL, Ray Williams, was not around. (He had gone to another county.) I suggested replacing him, since he does such a lousy job anyway, and I suggested allowing him to participate by phone. Wiles declined both suggestions. Roy suggested that they basically ignore my Motion, but Wiles didn't do that either.
He ended up setting an appointment for us to discuss a time to consider the Motion. (Yes, really. An appointment to schedule our appointments.)
On Monday, August 13th, 2007, at 11am, he will discuss when we should plan to discuss my Motion.
Meanwhile, I have that odd order telling me to report tomorrow to 'visit' my daughter briefly. But doesn't say WHERE to go for that!! I asked the Judge to clarify, and he ignored me.
So I'll be stressing over that all night.
Prayers appreciated.

CIRCUIT DIVISION

SARAHBETH GRACE CORBETT,
JASON ALLEN ADOLPHSON, SUSAN ELIZABET CORBETT,
Plaintiff, vs. Defendant.
with
DAVID DYKAS,
Intervenor.
Case No. 06AL-FC00533
MOTION TO VACATE ORDER FROM AUGUST 9th, 2007
Comes now Susan Corbett, and states to the Court the following...
THAT on August 9th, 2007, the Court convene, at he request of Jason Adolphson, a hearing to attempt to re-assign custody of Corbett's child to Adolphson, and
THAT Adolphson and his attorney did organize an overwhelming display of hateful persons to line the courthouse hallways and the courtroom, in order to intimidate Corbett and her child, and did in fact cause both of them significant emotional distress, and
THAT the child reacted with perfectly age appropriate fear at the display, by beginning to cry, and
THAT the Court, acting upon the request of Adolphson's attorney Roy Williams, did then threaten Corbett and her child, stating he would give the 13-month old baby to county workers if Corbett did not stop the child from crying during court, and
THAT the Court did then call a recess, stating that Corbett would not be allowed back in the courtroom in possession of the child, and
THAT Corbett, brought to tears herself at the fear of losing her child to such ruthless persons, stepped outside to her car to attempt to calm down during the recess, and
THAT Adolphson and several accomplices did then stalk Corbett into the parking area, surrounding her and placing her in fear for her safety and for the safety of her child, and
THAT Corbett, overwhelmed by the events and finding no way to reach help from inside her parked vehicle, did then drive to a place of safety, crying hysterically all the way, and
THAT Corbett, becoming concerned that the anti-anxiety medications proscribed for court were not functioning as intended, did then submit herself to a mental health facility for evaluation and assistance, and
THAT Corbett, upon being released, returned to discover the courthouse closed and locked for the day, and
THAT the Court did then cause a large number of Deputies and Court officers to intrude upon the family at home and forcefully remove the child, and deliver it to Adolphson, disregarding Adolphson's threats to harm the child, and
THAT the Mother and child were both traumatized by these events, and
THAT the child is now is danger of harm and/or death at the hands of Adolphson, as well as being terrorized by being removed from the only home and family she knows and sent to live with Adolphson, a stranger that she has not seen since she was two weeks old, and
THAT such a summary judgment, unfairly robbed the child of due process, and deprived her of the comfort and companionship of her mother and extended family, and
THAT the proper remedy is to vacate to Order of August 9th, 2007, and schedule a hearing with all parties present, so as to give the child a chance to have her rights and desires considered by the Court.
WHEREFORE Corbett requests that the Court vacate the Order of August 9th, 2007, return custody of the baby to her Mother (Corbett), and schedule a hearing giving all parties an opportunity to be heard.
Respectfully,

I just cried so much when I saw your video and I hope that your ex gets what's coming to him. I was told to tell you to possibly try to contact the attorney general and maybe he could help. If I had $5,000, I'd give it to you. I also hope that you get to see your little girl soon.

- Susan, please, look into hiring your daughter a guardian-at-lidem. She needs someone to advocate for her and her needs. They can get expensive but, you can petition the court to order him to pay half of it.
Anything I can do, let me know.

- Susan,
I feel for you and your daughter. My husband and I have been fighting this battle over my step-son in Ohio since 2002. Some very strong advice: LOG, LOG, LOG everything in a journal and (it IS legal where you live) tape record every conversation! You will need it. Prayers are with you.

It Wasn't Always This Bad...
back before Jason stopped taking his meds,
back before I met his lawyer Roy,
and back before my life revolved around a court schedule...
I was so happy that I wrote a book.
I said "I love you", and he said "Why?". I was so startled by the question that I was speechless. I didn't know where to start. I decided to write my reasons down, and so began a journey recognizing what "I love you" really means to me...
A journey of insight.
I Love You Because...
Why am I bringing this up?
I'm posting this to remind myself, and to share with you all, that there was a time when Jason was a safe and loving person. I found all these reasons to love him back then.
He is an entirely different person when his mental disease is properly medicated. I miss that person. I wanted Sarahbeth to know that person. I hope she still can someday.
