Looking at it from a different perspective, imagine how much money could be saved. This lens aims to show you how you can help the environment and also save money as well.

Here is to environment and money saving,

Simple Money saving methods.

Firstly, I find it unbelievable when i go to peoples homes and find windows open with the heating on. This is such a waste. Many people have the heating on when they are not home and when it is not needed. Take the time to check when the heating is on and see if it needs to be. You can save so much money by checking. This is the same for air conditioning. Don't leave these on when it is not needed.

Turn all lights off when you are not in and before you go to bed. Also turn all appliances off. You can also change your light bulbs to energy saving light bulbs. These are so cheap and its easy to do. These few methods will save you money each year and have a positive effect on the environment.

There are many products out there which also help save energy. Radiators emit much of their energy directly into the wall. there are products which deflect this heat and bring it into the room. Energy companies and governments also offer grants to convert to renewable energy. Placing a solar panel on your roof will save you hundreds throughout the year and you can also sell the excess energy to the energy companies. There are many ways to help the environment. Just take a look in your area and around your home to see what you can do to help. write them in the guestbook so everyone can join in!

Energy Saving Monitors

Invest in an energy monitor. These monitors tap directly into your electricity and monitors the consumption level. using this you can turn an appliance on and check how much energy it uses and more importantly how much it costs you. with one of these energy monitors you will always remember to turn off the light on the way out.
