What is this about?
This is about having Internet freedom.
"Network Neutrality" -- the First Amendment of the Internet -- ensures that the public can view the smallest lens, tinyest blog, crappest forum, aunties xmas flickr slideshow or even Matt Curtess ramblings about how great google is; just as easily as the largest corporate Web site by preventing Internet companies like AT&T from rigging the playing field for only the highest-paying sites.
But Internet providers like AT&T, Verizon and Comcast are spending millions of dollars lobbying Congress to gut Net Neutrality. If Congress doesn't take action now to implement meaningful Net Neutrality provisions, the future of the Internet is at risk.

Why do we need Network Neutrality?
Without Net Neutrality the network is no longer about just moving data - to you and me thats pages just like this one. The Man would be allowed to impose what can and can't be moved. Now we don;t want The Man messing with the net he messes with our heads too much as it is...
Imagine your telephone operator (also The Man - but that battle was won :-) ) telling you not only who you can call, when you can call them but also what you are allowed to say! Throw in a few extra messages from sponsers and being told that "Your call is important to us" and you get the idea. The net dies overnight and The Man wins...
