This site exists to attempt to spread the word about special critical cats across the country in an effort to help find them homes or rescues before their time is up.

I am an avid supporter of animal rescue. Thousands of pets die daily because there are not enough homes for them all. These are Animal Control facilities, not Humane Societies. Moreover, the vast majority of AC workers work extremely hard to find homes for all of the animals in their care, but until careless owners stop dumping their animals and allowing their pets to reproduce, Animal Control facilities will be putting animals to sleep for lack of space.
Please don't breed or buy while shelter pets die!
If I can determine the fate of the cats posted here, I will update their listings. For example, if I hear through my rescue networks, or through the shelter that the animal has been rescued, I will note the same. If I hear that the animal did not make it out, I will post a short memorial. If I cannot determine the fate of the animal, I will simply remove the posting. Sadly, some of these cats will die. It is important to be honest about this, and that is why I will note if an animal has been put to sleep.

Oystercatcher 0614B is a beautiful adult male black and white tuxedo medium hair cat in desperate need of a new home. Oystercatcher is a little shy at first, but when he comes out of his shell, he's a real sweetheart!

I hate to see beautiful cats put down just because their owners don't want them anymore. In our small town we had three ladies who raised money to have household cats neutered for free. Our vet charged an absolute minimum rate to the group and in only a couple of years, they had spayed and neutered over 400 cats.
