Seal from a company that you can Trust. If the site doesn't have a PCI Certification seal write the company and tell them you don't trust them because they are not PCI Certified. PCI Certification
is much more all encompassing than hacker protection so make sure they are PCI Certified!

The other thing that's important is don't give out personal information online to anyone. Don't send credit info and person info in emails, don't send in through an IM message, and be careful about interacting with only people you know in the "real" world.
