How it is in my Town.
This is Tinkerbell, one of the cats dropped off and left to die. She is doing what she does best and snoozing on the porch.
Where I live, in a small Alabama town, there are NO animal care facilities available, Tuscaloosa is the city closest to us and they demand a donation to drop off an animal, which usually ends up destroyed due to lack of adoptive familys or funds/space.
Unfortunately people unable to care for their animals, or just simply tired of the responsibility of them have abandoned them. We have, just this year taken is several cats and one dog, most of the cats were pregnant and thrown from moving vehicles outside of our house. Vet care here is prohibitavely expensive. While my dream may be to get all of them fixed and into good homes, without some kind of help that is not going to happen.
I am in desperate need of some information and/or some help in feeding these abandoned pets. at this time we have 4 female cats, all dropped off so thin and flea ridden that it took a huge amount of work to get them on the road to recovery. We would like to get them all neutered and into good homes if at all possible. Barring that, some help with food and any small donations towards spay costs would be so very appreciated. I am on disability, and quite frankly cant afford to do this on my own.

It Ended When You Said Goodbye
Read:: An animal shelter video - many animals enter the shelter each day. Due to the overcrowding of abandoned pets and strays as well as limited funds, many shelters have no choice but to kill them when they're not adopted soon enough. Please consider the fate you bestow upon your pet by pounding it. Or, if you're thinking of getting a pet, think about adopting one from the shelter. Adopting 1 saves 2 lives since it frees up a space in the shelter for another pet. Credits to my sister, Eva, for coordinating the images with the music, to me, the images I found on internet, and Honey, the very sweet stray cat we've found recently. The effect at the beginning was spiffy, don't you think?
